Tight game. Did Locks end up kicking themselves out of a win?

BOS levelled the scores with 7 minutes to go, that's how it stayed until there was 10 seconds left on the clock when Lockleys goaled to win by 6 points

the margin was no more than about 10 points either way all day. i thought when Lockleys kicked the opening couple of the last quarter that we were done but somehow we managed to kick two to level the game - one from mid air in the pocket by t hillman was a classic. we then missed an opportunity to score with about a minute or so to go.

would be interested in the view of any Lockleys people, but i was confused by finals umpiring for the first time in a long time. as they come from higher levels during the season they have more experience and normally just let the game go. they did not umpire to the conditions at all for either side. just needed to pick the obvious ones and leave the 50/50's. on about 3 or 4 occassions the umps responded to comments made by spectators and explained their decisions and then continued to repeat themselves. first time i've seen that happen at our level. they just needed to focus on their job rather than needing to stamp their authority on what was happening around them.

not sure it changed the result but must have been frustrating for players.

anyway that's it for 2012.

And now the search begins for a new coach Sprint, or have they already got someone in mind?

The player was released from hospital with no serious damage. Thanks to all who assisted.

Good to hear. A lot of people at the oval thought he'd done some serious damage to his neck or spine such was the severity of his hit to the ground.

I think Trinity's B grade are a good side from my games against them over the past 2 years. I find it strange that (Of the top of my head) have only won 1 out of 6 matches come finals time finishing in the top 3 each time over the past few years. They still have the next few weeks to get back on the bike and I wish them the best but I find this totally bemusing for what I rate a pretty good side.

Mawson Lakes top 3 for the medal count on Wednesday is Rob O'Gorman, Lachlan Kennett and Ivan Novosel...Who is everyone elses? All clubs I believe got emailed through the players invited to attend over the weekend, I have no idea if SAAFL are putting it online or not.

I believe only the top 12 get invited. So dont think each clubs just gets 3 invites Riddler. (I could be wrong but i'm led to believe thats how it works).

Central United had Hall and Woodward invited and Woodward is ineligible

Ok mate. I was pretty damn lucky to play in 2 magoos sides in the last 2 years that were succesful but Trinity were a side that gave us greif. I did always enjoy getting the last laugh with their goal umpire but :) he's a very passionate man......
