I seem to recall the full back being metres behind Modra every time he led but that may not have been Todd.

And........it could have been the reporter trying to make a story

It was reported that Todd said 'that Modra was still very strong but needed to get fitter'........whether he actually said it is another thing.
Todd stood Modra all day.

dont see whats wrong with those comments modra himself said it was only his second game in a year and a half and was probably is a bit under done (still an absolute champion though)

You're probably right - just I wouldn't have said it

Him saying it is a different matter..........

He is strong....as Todd found out in the 3rd quarter.... ;)

That sort of contest is as much about weight, balance and timing as strength

Which Modra won on all accounts..............but it was mostly brute strength and timing!!
Modra has done that to many a fullback over the years.

Did anyone see the Unley and Salisbury West game ?? Would have been a cracker of a game... Any match reports floating around ?

GG went out to Pooraka on Saturday and kept our 'winless away from home' streak going........ They were too good in both A's and the B's, played their ground well and deserved the result. Not sure :? what to take from our performance...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Way too good for Haven's on the field.............it was like Men against boys at some stages of the game.........especially with Modra and Roo up forward.
Off the field there were plenty of people there and plenty of food and alcohol as well.
What was your impression of the day Jimmy?

AF - did you see Roo get the hip to the head? Cant remember whether it was the 1st or 3rd quarter but it was down the south end

Round 14 Tips!

CBCOC v Pooraka by 12 pts Match of the Round & everyone will be watching the result & some think this maybe be the Grand Final Preview...
Adelaide Lutheran v Golden Grove by 30 pts not often i can say i like the Dog's to win but hope they get up over the Kooka's this week...
North Haven v Fitzroy by 18 pts the Magpies will like their chances this week & the Lions cant take them too lightly & need to play 4 quarters to get the points...
Salisbury West v Greenacres by 24 pts the Tigers wont drop 2 games in a row especially at home & will officially end the Dragons finals hopes...
Unley v PAOC by 6 pts the Red's wont like the small ground & the mud patch turf wicket area so the Jets will cause another upset of a team above...

Another cracking weekend of Footy to come & with upsets every week it has kept the race for the finals & the double chance wide open & with 5 rounds still to come nothing is certain...
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!
