Unley to upset PAOC?
Surely a good chance considering they beat Salis West at home last week.

I dont usually comment on my team, but I doubt it NM

Beating SW sends a warning not to take them casually, and now nobody will

Too much at stake now - double chance is up for grabs

A couple of good wins by the Burra's out in the parklands on the weekend. The A's finally had a win away from home and the B's eventually got over the line thanks to a dominant last quarter. I even managed to speed back home and catch the last half of the C grade and the Lutheran boys never stopped trying there too against our unbeaten C's. Best of luck to them for the rest of the year, plenty of good lads out there.
But good to get a win on the board for the A's.... just not sure we are close enough to the 5 to squeeze in seeing as most of the teams just above us had wins also... With CBC (H), Unley (A), Salisbury West (H) and North Haven (A) to come we would definitely need at least 3 wins to sneak in which will be very tough... Close losses come back to bite you...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

It was no walk in the park NM.

Unley are very competitive but our forwards were able to consistently kick goals from the 40 - 50 metre range (which is about the centre on that ground ;) ) Thomas again was the dominant forward. Dont look too much into Modra not kicking a goal - I saw him hand off 4 that he could have kicked and there could have been more as I was down one end all day

The Unley twin's dad looked good in his pink discipline shirt

Good competitive game of footy at CBC on the weekend. Although the scoreboard says 10 goal win there was only 3 in it at half time, and at one stage in the last quarter we kicked 4 in a row.
Massive 3rd quarter by CBC blew us out of the water though. Looking forward to having a couple of key players return and playing them on a neutral venue in the finals.
The players were very disciplined and are obviously well coached by a very experianced football brain.
However would love to know what Jars thinks of their crowds antiques! Apart from one little scuffle before halftime the game was played at a very high quality with no incidences to report, however once again the CBC crowd thought it would be a good idea to yell abuse at our players on the way off the ground. Absolutely no reason too. IMO I think both players and coaching staff are embarrased at some of the stuff that comes out of the supporters mouths.
I also think it is only a matter of time before an ugly incident occurs at the top of the stairs there. It seems to be the place that all the supporters congrigate and is also right next to where the players walk off the ground and right near the changerooms. When you have idiot supporters who yell abuse I think it is a disaster waiting to happen!

Good to finally get all 3 grades win on the same day again for the Lions as had been 8 or 9 rounds since that has last happened also congrats to young Costi our clubs former U/16's & U/18's captain on playing his first A Grade game who kicked a goal with his first kick.
After a mid season form slump things seem to be finally back on track at the Roy's with games against Unley (h) Greenacres (a) PAOC (h) Pooraka (a) the Roy's are still a good chance to grab that Top 3 spot.
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!

Matches remaining for the Top 5 positions - hopefully this table will come out properly

Home games in bold

CBCOC GG NH Lutherans SW
PAOC SW Pooraka Fitzroy Greenacres
SW PAOC Lutherans GG CBCOC
Fitzroy Unley Greenacres PAOC Pooraka
Pooraka Lutherans PAOC Greenacres Fitzroy
Greenacres NH Fitzroy Pooraka PAOC

Its there for the taking - you just have to beat the other teams with a chance - CBCOC are the only ones with a relatively easy run home (which should soften you up for the finals DE ;) )

No easy matches for PAOC or Fitzroy
