It's a big game for the boys this weekend and even though I havent seen Lutheran at all, watching and training with our C grade I think that is a fair comment.

Not sure this comment has much cred considering a couple of weeks ago you said Kenilworth would surprise a few this year.

Happy to be wrong tho

Would have to agree with Tomo here Lutheran should take Havens easily especially if they play like they did against us. Lutheran tend to score heavily when allowed to run, however arent that physical. A poor first half on the scoreboard by us vs Havens cost us the game as we had our noses in front of them in the second half I felt.
Hope Valley favourites at this stage.
Kenilworth will surprise a few I also agree, but need to play consistently.

Well done HV, after watching you guys last week i think there is a really good chance you might need to make some space in your trophy cabinet later this year if you can keep everyone fit!

Our top 5 in the B & F last year all not playing. Although the B & F winner keeps coming out to every game and is getting itchy feet. Wishful thinking though! Might be making a special appearance for Andre Kulpe's 400th in a few weeks time though...

...I'd say maybe 8-12 still playing from last year

ive always rated HV in C5, so i may cop some flack for waht im bout to say.... you BF last season was relied on FAR to much last season and he was cut he didnt win the assos medal, just had to see his reaction when stace was getting votes and won it... you relied far to much on far to few last season, but goin on this season you seem to be playing as a full team... which is great... may sound harsh but i didnt find HV as a big threat last season(flinders park were our bogey side if weplayed them on a big oval come finals time), however this season is a different story... im not saying this to argue or to cause trouble... just my thoughts...

He probably looked like a rabbit in the headlights a bit because he's not used to and hates the spotlight on him. I had to drag him along to the night because I thought he had a good chance of winning. If you knew the bloke, the only thing he would ever be "cut" about is if the club ran out VB...

We've lost to Plympton and North Haven this year so not sure what you're basing that comment on...

We hope so too, Andre Kulpe set to play his 400th game friday week under lights v Trinity at Hope Valley. Was the travel distance (Gawler to Plympton) a factor for Trinity?

We have about 12 A graders out at the moment plus probably 10 B Graders. Taking its toll on the C grade who haven't really had a stable core group of players that they can rely on every week anyway. This coupled with the travel factor (which is a p*** weak excuse) resulted in the forfeit. I know there is a minimum of 7 players back next week and a few each week for the month or so after that. Hopefully all 3 grades can be strengthened for the rest of the season.

It's crap for the boys that did travel all that way only for their mates not to rock up and for the Plympton boys who were denied a game and probably more % than what they were given for the forfeit.
