"GFC are refusing to pay players for their 2012 season unless they sign on and commit to playing for GFC in 2013."

I confirm that one GFC player from 2012 has told me this and he won't be at The Lodge in 2013 so no reason to spin me a story; so I take him on his word

When Clearances become posted I am guessing you will be able to validate the suggestion of non payment to Turk when the player's name appears, because you know who he is.......just in case Turk is not as informed......if indeed that is the case.

Perhaps this player would have been better off if he spoke to someone at the club rather than pi$$ing in someone else's ear ??

EM I am pretty sure you know who I am so why not PM me this players name so we can sort this out at club level where it should stay, FC the same offer applies to you... and you certainly know who I am (being a mod and all)...and whilst I'm on that subject, if it had been your club someone posted this carp (thanks choccies) about how likely is it they would have had a holiday? especially based on the fact that the mods are very concerned about defamatory comments and possible law suits and the like....

Turk, this whole forum is based on heresay and rumour. If you posted something about my club there wouldn't be a holiday - that would be a conflict of interest and there would be someone from our club to clarify/deny said rumour.


When I was told by said player (who shall remain nameless, btw) I didn't actually believe it. You of all people should be well aware of the high regard I hold for your club and have always painted it in a positive light. You cannot deny this.

I never would have even released the name of the club if you hadn't harped on it , you pretty much bought it up yourself and brought it on yourself, had you let it slide, it probably wouldnt have even been brought up again. I could have been talking about any one of 10 clubs.


However, when EM advised me of the same I thought it a bit odd, so I threw it out there, whilst protecting your clubs name, once again as no mention was made of it specifically by me.

Not saying I still fully believe it, but you've got to admit...it is a very odd coincidence. either that or there are some players/former players out to make the club look bad, why would they do this?

Now I will leave you to so rightly quash this and the subject shall then be over.

Stress less FC. There has been no defamation here as Turk has eluded too..... People who have commented as yourself had done so based on the understanding of information passed on by indviduals to people who believe that information to be true...

All I will add is that IMO the GFC will honor all signed contracts with individuals that played for us in the 2012 season

Unless "you" are empowered and can "personally" guarantee all signed contracts will be honoured your opinion is only just that. You may well be right but if the "buck" doesn't stop with you can't uncategorically suggest that it is the case. It may be your understanding that the GFC will honor its agreements as it is with those others suggesting otherwise. Give them a personal guarantee.....
