Try and get out and watch a different game every week. Usually the big clashes.

interesting reading some of the coments about mp.like the way teams are quite willing to ramp up incidents by mp but fail to remember their own.as for friday night fight night have always thought you needed at least two to have a fight.must admit that clg impressed me that much that i am sure they will go out in straight sets.have great football skills and are well drilled but to be a champion team and perform in finals you need to be able to put your head over the football and not rely on the two extra players on the field to set up your win.would also like to thank the coaching staff and many of the clg supporters who went up to mp coaching panel and commitee after the game to admit that mp never stood a chance with them two umpires(1 an ex player)

mp coach was not happy with the effort esp in 3rd quater.told the team some home truths but has been doing this for some time without getting constant results.continues to express that to become a good and consistent team you have to be able to win as well as you lose, with humility and respect for not only the opposistion but for yourself.it is the small things that opposition teams remember you by,not only your actions on the field but also the way you represent yourself off the field.interesting to see what the future holds not only for mp but also coach.

i would think should butler and m/park part ways he'd get a coaching job no problems seems like a top bloke knows the game and puts everything he has in to just seem he doesnt have the cattle at the moment but saying that its just an outsiders veiw of things i may well be wrong dee man.

perhaps clg were getting the free kicks cause they were going for the ball not the body which seemed to be mp game plan

There is no doubt that some Mitchell Park players dont play in the spirit of the game but there are individuals in other teams who are tarnished with the same brush. Maybe they thought targeting the man just as much as the ball would be there best chance of stealing a win??? Cause as good a side as CLG are its no secret that more than one or two arent fond of body contact. Hence from what i heard was the case when they played BL ... maybe im wrong. But to me from what i ve seen may be the reason for them not performing when it counts in september

Hectorville v Trinity - Hectorville are a little harder at the football and have a little bit more polish. Trinity will push all the way but heccies will want to wrap up a top 3 spot.
Paralowie v CLG - While the roo's were better last week, the question has to be asked are they 100+ points better than last time they played CLG. I think CLG might have 2 many winners on the day but would be the game i would go to if i wasn't playing.
Mitchell Park v W croydon - I think this game will be a shot out. Bryant V Bates.Almost say who kicks more goals between these two will win the game. Only because it is down south i will pick MP. Game could go either way but the winning margain will be no bigger than 4 goals either way.
Glenunga v Lockleys - Lockleys will be looking to send a message to the comp this week that they plan on being around in september and this could be the week they put it all together.
Central utd v Brahma lodge - Brahma Lodge have some big outs this week and i would be happy just to get a win this week. We have lost Trav, Beau, jonty, Friely and walton from last weeks game so any win will be a good win with so many kids in the side this week.

Good luck to all teams this week in what will be a round that could sort out the top 5 come september.

Trav is out !!!! he is the softest bloke ever to pull on a pair of footy boots. Lucky he is a great kisser or no one would talk to him.

injuries everywhere at the minute at the lodge all though most are minor there is one major injury
danny walton has fractured his shoulder blade in 3 places and looks to have played his last game for the year and maybe his career. this will leave a massive void up in the forward line but all blodge people are hoping for a miracle and hope he can return later in the year. he will now take on the role as forwards coach for the remainder of the season.

Very unfortunate to hear about his shoulder and then see the xrays.....very unfortunate to land poorly in a tackle i believe on the only hard peice of ground at BL last weekend!

Good to see R.V back the knee has come good then. Trav may be away but he wouldn't work in an iron lung. :)

He ran into an open goal up your club end and Trev tackled him, denying a certan goal. There was no malice or anything in the tackle, it was just unfortunate how he landed.

As you said EddieV, that was def the only hard bit of ground on the whole oval!
