HOME FINALS

· Home finals are offered to eligible Member Clubs for all finals matches (except Grand Finals)
· For the right to host a home final Member Clubs will be required to pay a fee to The League (see table of fees below)
· Member Clubs that finish highest on the premiership table (refer: to Rule 28.28) get the option of hosting a final provided they meet the criteria specified below.
· Matches will be played at neutral grounds when a Member Club chooses not to or is refused the
opportunity by The League to play a home final.
· Where possible, two matches would be scheduled for each venue. The venue follows the team in higher Divisions.
· The League will endeavour to match teams from the same Member Club at the same venue. (eg
Division 2 Reserve first semi final may be played before a Division 2 second semi final if one or
more of the teams are from the same Member Club – finishing highest A Division team gets
preference).
· Member Clubs may ask for a donation at matches but cannot charge spectators upon entry. Car
park charges are permitted.
· Member Clubs must fulfil The League’s obligations to its sponsors, i.e. must be a SA Brewing
Company sponsored Member Club and sell only SABC products at finals venue at its home
matches during the minor round season
.

· Spectators are not permitted to bring alcohol into the ground and away Member Clubs are
requested to communicate this requirement to patrons in their mail out to supporters in the week
preceding a final.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR HOSTING A HOME FINAL
The Executive Committee sets the following criteria for Member Clubs to host finals
Grounds
· The ground surface needs to be in ‘reasonable condition’ taking into account weather conditions
in the weeks preceding the match.
· In adverse weather conditions, the Football Operations Committee will determine the suitability of the ground surface in the week preceding the match.
· The League reserves the right to change a finals venue during the week preceding the match.
Umpire and Player Facilities
· The change rooms must have basic facilities for players and umpires to change and trainers to
prepare the players.
Spectator Facilities
That the Member Club provides basic facilities for spectators:
· Toilets – male, female, disabled (if possible)
· Canteen facilities
· Shelter from inclement conditions – temporary would suffice should there be no permanent
shelter

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

won't be changing my tips Jimmy, Greenies very ordinary last week. Good chance to test your depth before finals, St Kilda got away with resting players before finals and i'd say you will too

Just want to post on an alleged incident today at Salisbury West.

One of our A grade players ran water for the B grade, he dropped his phone on the field. It was then alleged that a Salisbury West Player picked it up and shoved it in his sock. This came from a spectator who at the time didn't realise what was happening.

If this story is true, it is very poor form. It seems almost ridiculous. Please tell me it is not possible.

'He rang up this morning and said he had the flu all week. He played in the C's today and came back and asked if he could do anything to help out in the A's................he then told us that his mate had swine flu..............

I recommended to Marshy that we take him out to Pooraka v Fitzroy and leave him there for the next 24 hours as we have to play one of them next week, but Mods didn't want to go

Anyway......did you notice he didn't give any of the PAC players a drink.................he only serviced Greenies blokes...

On the quiet, I'm not a Crows supporter, but Mods can stick around our club as long as he wants -what a terrific bloke.

Good to catch up with Lloydy and Johnno today - well maybe not Johnno.... ;) too many scars.....
