Clubs should support each other by using their facilities in away games. I would say something to any group of our supporters who brought a truckload of beer to a game other than:
1. A lot of our players are Uni students and cant afford $4 a stubby all day
2. They wont drink SA Brewing pi$$

Were they guys coming off injuries or just hadn't been training?
im not using this as an excuse cause we did play poorly and were clearly beaten by a better side but im sure come round 10it will be a much different game.but saturday we did play a few players who had just come back from injuries "this is not an excuse" just stating a fact!!! but other than that PHOS are a well oiled team and they would surely be in the top 4 this season.. that number 1 for them is easily their star all over the park on saturday hopefully the coach seen that and he ended up in the best players...

Didnt see a lot of the A's but not bad for Walkies to come from a few goals down to win by 3 goals. Pity the SPOC boys bought in cartons of grog to the oval instead of buying from the club rooms, but Old Collegian boys tend to do whatever the hell they want because thats the way its been all their lives.
Tougher opponents next week with PHOS v Walkies and SPOC v ROCS. Maybe we'll be able to measure a bit more how the 2 promoted teams are going to go in Div 2

What do you guys charge there Suri for a beer?

Too much if you ask a few of the regulars. $4 something for a scooner of WED or Super Dry, dont know the pint prices, stubbies of beer are in the $5+ range (Coopers, WED, Super Dry, TED) more expensive for imported beers obviously. But the prices arent exuberant that you are shocked when you order a drink.
Its just interesting that clubs will bring their own grog to a game but crack the sh!ts if you do it to them. But once one club starts it then it gets into a cycle of those 2 clubs doing it to each other. Clubs like Portland, Athelstone, Salisbury have come into our clubroom after games and really promote other clubs doing it too by giving drink vouchers to the visiting team. Not sure every club can fork out vouchers, but having a few beers never hurt anyone.

very true that 90% of our juniors are college kids, but they then go on and play for SPOC because they cant get their own way at Walkerville. We try to educate them but they just wont listen. Those damn kids
