Anyhow, FF how's Lindblom Park shaping up for this weekend ? In good nick ??

Oval always holds up well. I reckon the oval was going to be mowed today! They mowed around the oval yesterday, but the gates were locked to get onto the oval apparently so hopefully they do it today! You GG boys hanging around to watch the A grade game after? Always a ripper barbie and plenty of frothies available! :D

Gotta agree with that - BBQ up there with the best and a barman that rolls the Pale Ale before opening it - all class.

Just curious about something ff - Are the clubrooms short in height? I would have though a ruckman would spill a lot from drinking with his head on a slant. Was Rod Carter a junior with Pooraka?

if you drank a real beer you wouldnt have to roll nothing!!! ;) 8)

They'd still have the collars on their polo shirts to roll up out at PAOC.... ;)

Waltham kicked his 3 in the 1st quarter I'm told too.
Long afternoon thereafter....
Fitzroy some chance this week to I reckon

Fitzroy played some great footy on Saturday and were very impressive.
Well done to PAOC in the reserves. Too good for us once the wet settled in but we hope to get a rematch in a couple of weeks. Lindblom Park hasn't been good to us this year... :?

Yes, agree with this. They were pretty dominant over Pooraka and will take some beating.....their forward line looks particularly strong. PAOC need the Roo to play!!

If you look at the scoring shots, it was 24 to 20. PAOC blew it in the 2nd quarter when they kicked (IIRC) 0-9 - we just failed to convert with the game in the balance. With all due respect, the 2nd half was junktime football after that. CBC played high pressure football all day and we threw away our chance and never recovered. To beat CBC, you have to play 4 quarter high pressure football - they are a very good disciplined side with set plays out of the backlines.

just need an AFL experienced coach and an influx of 7-8 guys with div one experience!

personally cbc were a better team last year then NH were this year but haven seem to always have a bit extra cash, hopefully they just get the right people!

Not sure yet. Port Power have yet to undertake player list management for 2010. Obviously Ladey and P.Burger are already on the list... ;)
