If this rumour is true, it would be a big blow so close to the start of the season.

Is definately true

Lol. If this is true then how come he came back on the field, went to bowl but was not allowed to by the opposing skipper as he was off too long to be able to bowl straight away (fair enough ofc). Would have been pretty hard to bowl again with a "busted" hammy. Get your facts straight, rumour mungors :P

If you read and hear right, he came back on to bowl and then busted it...

Carey blow it out ur a**, batting is no where near as tough as bowling. The fact he batted counts for nothing IMO, he couldnt finish an over last week, id say the hammy would be reasonably bad

i no they had 3 cricket sides in the finals today, not sure how many players that where out. They need to get a clearance for their ruckman to be real competive. Also think houghton will make finals, they will win at least 8-9 games at home and only need to win a couple of away games.

Kicked 3 goals in our trial game today so I think the hammy might be fine :P, He opened the batting so he could get to the footy on time, didn't have to get out first ball though damnit!

Houghton will be the goods in Division 6.. On a personal note they were very fit, very big bodied and had some serious skills... And all this with 3 or 4 to come back in.. On the flip side, Central United have 5 or 6 to come back in if they are ready and will look good in Div 7 this year... Houghton won by ten goals... They also kicked to first 5 goals before CU got an insode 50! Good luck to both sides

Modbury had a good hit out against TTG on Saturday with both Modbury teams getting up by a goal or 2 from memory. Both hard, tough competitive games like always when these 2 teams meet!

He kicked 5 or 6 against I/Farm couple weeks ago, do you think that United may struggle to capitalise on forward entries this season?

From what I saw, yes. They don't necessarily need a dominant KPP either, the couple of big fellas they already have can at least bring the ball to the ground, so all they need is one or two clever small forwards.

So again had a side made up of players that won't figure in a settled side during the season, don't see the point as giving false results and team structure to the players that will be there.

We have a midfield that will suprise people. We are yet to field our strongest side due to cricket finals. Considering Houghton are apparently 'looking good' for div 6 finals and very possibly a premiership i feel Central United did well Saturday and it gives real promise to the upcoming season

All reprts say Ian is playing for Central United this year. im sure if he was 'contracted' to brahma lodge he would not have played.
