The coach at the end of the game was to be respected for coming over and giving us a talk about a similar situation their club went through.. Im not sure whether it was a clean contest because a few guys were out, but You guys were nothing but fair and the game was played in good spirit!!!
Does Mitchell Pks coach go over and talk to every club? Im sure i read he did to Paralowie and i know in the past he has done it to West Croydon. Does this come across as unusual to anyone? I know its the done thing after a GF.

I laughed on the sideline when the player was dragged but if it happened to me on the field I would have been rope-able.
I think umpires need to accept some verbal disagreement with their decisions. If its demonstrative or abusive, then yeah, throw the book at them.

Toughen up people or go play another sport.
Every side has a combination of good fair players and ordinary thugs. Deal with it and move on.

A comment like that is exactly what I am talking about. Another one a player said "are you serious?" and was given a 25m. It is ruining the game and making plyers vry frustrated. I have no issues with a swearing back chat or a player that keeps going on about a free kick, but this isn't the case most of the time. On the weekend 1 umpire in particular gave away no less than 10 x 25m penalties. The game was played in great spirit and was very fair, but I felt was totally ruined by the umpires. Both teams were commenting to each other about how bad the umpires had become.

Did the umpire in question wear a hat and was chubby?

No but last year i umpired D2res, D4, D5, D6, D7 and i've made my observation on that, is that cool??

No he didn't but we have had him too. To be honest every week we get different umpires and they seem to be getting worse. I know we are all in situation. Its not just bad for 1 side either, but for both. Its making me rethink whether to play div 6 next year or play in a div higher up. It just ruins a great game, makes teams frustrated and therefore some teams have players that do stupid things to vent there anger
. And Lightning, pretty much most of the guess who characters look exactly the same as our umpires, very clever, very amusing

Well that settles it for me a Div 6 side would beat a Div 1r side easy. As umpires don't even know what day it is I have to take the above comment as wrong.

His attitude towards umpiring was that it was a bit of spending money on the punt on a saturday. He would always joke about how he would send players off and give away 25m penalties. I wonder how many other current umpires do the same??

lockleys have west croydon away, CLG at home and mitchell park home you'd probably think win 2 of these games and they are in.
west croydon have lockleys at home, B/L away and CLG at home very tough run home probably cant make it the losses against m.park and paralowie are going to cost them there season.
paralowie glenunga home C/U at home heccies away probably the best run home of the sides it may come down to percentage so playing glenunga and C/U may help dont deserve to play finals but who knows they may just make it.
what are peoples thoughts now on who will finish 5th?
the stupid thing is dee man should the switched on m/park rock up and put all the aggression towards the ball they can beat anyone no doubt about that so if you'd like to help us out i'd be more than happy with that who do you think will get that 5th spot?
