Very ordinary on his behalf...not only for whacking someone in the head while they were on the ground but him letting his team mates down while they were giving it a red hot crack....the word shame does come to mind and im sure you guys will be looking long and hard at someone who is happy to let his team mates down just because he has a hot head!!!

trinity big winners today seem to be hiiting their straps at the right time of year. Roo boys big winners over glenunga might come down to percentage with lockleys for fifth spot.

got to see first hand today a quality footy club first hand.theway they went about the whole day was a credit to the club.they showed us what we can only aspire to be at this stage.the game was a hard fought battle with only 3 goals between the sides at the last break.the lodge then moved up a couple of gears and unfortunately for us with no interchange available were left in the wake.the way the lodge won and with the humility and respect they showed a lot of teams could sure learn from them.a quality team well coached well structured and playing to instructions.i know i learnt alot today.hopefully so did my players, not only in footy terms but also in the way you conduct yourselves,on and off the field.well done

we fight as one
we win and lose as one

So what are the thoughts leading up to finals???

Brahma Lodge are all but a certainty to feature in that last game in September. However todays results make me think that 2nd spot is up for grabs. I've heard a few people say that CLG are vulnerable if you rough them up. There's no doubt that they are quite a skilled side, but that doesn't necessarily win finals. Apparently sides think that if you get a bit physical, CLG will roll over. I'm sure no one has forgotten CLGs straight sets exit from last years finals. They will need to find their collective tickers if they are to capitalise on this year. It will be interesting to see how they handle the pressure from Lockleys and West Croyden in the next fortnight.

On their day, Hectorville or TOS are capable of causing an upset and earning that promotion up to Div 5.

It will be interesting to see how things pan out...

They won a GF a couple years ago, so you'd have to think they are capable of stepping up to the plate. Personally, I think they will end up playing BL in the GF, but it makes it interesting to know there a couple of teams capable of knocking them off if they don't bring their A game.

im sorry but i have to say it, MP are thugs and it got proved yesterday when the famous brothers got sent off.. one for hooking a player on the ground and one for elbowing a player after he gave the ball away.. another player got sent off because he thought he was in a boxing match.. the coach knows they are thugs and he would be a shining light for that club and if the players just listened to him instead of throwing elbows they would be more competetive then they are..

on MP better players number 17 was pretty good and a fair player and bates was awesome early.. the twins had about 10 touches between them and also 10 punches..

any MP person on here that cant admit that they aint thugs are dillusional and are one-eyed..

i will be quite happy if we do not play them next year if we can get to the big one..

on our part we didnt play to well but with half our midfield to come back next week..

I think the final series is going to be a very close affair. I think each game will be decided by under 5 goals and any of the 5 teams have a real shot at winning it. If you were just going off results you would say brahma lodge are the team to be and should be to strong, however i think every team has that legitimate shot.

Anyway we can forget about finals talk because we are playing a very hungry team in west croydon this week who will be playing for their season. I can honestly say this is a massive game for both teams as we are looking to play consistent footy for the weeks coming and WC are playing to be part of september. I think this game will be very tight indeed.

Another big game this week CLG v lockleys. CLG will want to get back in to the winners circle and Lockleys will want to almost lock up that 5th position. Paralowie have Central United this week (i would expect them to win but you never know) and then hectorville the following week, so a win for lockleys this week should just about see them keep that 5th spot. Could that 5th spot go down to the wire and be decided in the last week or will it be stitced up this week?

Sometimes things happen that defy explanation. I was bitterly, bitterly disappointed with Luke's actions. To the point where I considered not playing the remainder of the match and questioning my role within the club.

On a side note it was good to put a face to the name of a few people. Good to shake hands and get some encouragement from Payney. Seemed like a genuine football person.

As for Browny. Well, he kicked I think 5 goals on me and 8 for the day, so he can get stuffed. Nah Browny was good fun to play football with, even if he did give me a bit of a lesson.

I'm not going to say anything about MP from the weekend, i'll let their actions on the field speak for themself.

On a positive note, blokes like Morell and their coach are a credit to their club, and I hope that their persistent pays off and the culture of MP will change.

Unfortunatly the actions of some people tarr the entire image of a club....

CU played in really good spirit on sat and stayed in touch with us for the first half. a bit dissapointing from heccies point of view but it is good to see that CU and glenunga have started to getting closer to some teams.

CU goal ump was a shocker tho. gave two goals in the 2nd quarter within 5 mins that missed my .5m and you think when the player having a shot says s##t, you expect it to be a point. its just a little thing like this that people remember about a club and takes away from the effort the CU boys put in on sat. i think the umps tho need to use some common sense and just stand behind or near the mark tho for set shots. such a simple way to fix a problem like this.

Rumour has it that a match day official had a run in with a Div 6 player at the match and may be issuing a report based on what happened. Would be a shame for the player concerened if he misses out on finals because of this. (was not from either side playing on the day)
