yeah certainly was a tough day..we were smashed in the 2nd quarter, lost confidence and we were turning the ball over for long patches of the game..you did it pretty easy..i was impressed again with wos..along with blacks i think you can both cause an upset if underestimated at all in the finals

sometimes i think the big oval actually works against us one eyed..its big

You wouldn't actually know who watches what my friend. If you don't like it, don't read it. There is no way any one person can go and watch all 5 games and then report on it. If you think you can do better, start PM'ing me your write ups and I'll see if I can get them printed. Highly unlikely though

No Mercy i was merely saying that I was a little miffed by us being picked by 120 on the back of a bad loss at home, whilst Kenilworth played well against Plympton away. Obviously they knew something I didnt as they were only 10 points off.

Well done to Elizabeth for securing the Centrelink Cup til next season, their experience prevailed when the game was up for grabs, Smithfield kicking with the breeze in the last quarter were well within striking distance but the older Eagle heads steadied the ship and came up with the goods.
Smithfield wasted many opportunities going forward, mainly in the 3rd quarter when they could've brought the scores very close together while kicking into a strong breeze.
Interesting to see Greenshields doing a fair bit of work in the back half.

A bright moment in a dodgy weekend of results for me.

That is a great result on your behalf, to get so close away from home is a brilliant effort, I night get on the BOS train. What happened in the B's, how can they be so inconsistant, same goes for you guys though.

The usual assassins, Platten, Switta, Trent, they had a lot of contributors and moved the ball well. Our handball game had been the catalyst in our wins over the past few weeks was unsighted on the weekend, we used the ball poorly.

not sure about their b grade on saturday. our b grade was probably the strongest we've had this year and with a few to come back in the next 1-2 weeks it will depend on whether there are enough games to sneak in to the 5. we went into saturdays game 6 piints and 15% behing 5th so there is a fair gap to make up.

Its a pet peeve of mine that clubs use their injury list as an excuse why they lost, or a chance to puff their chests out when they win and still have players out!

every club has players out...

wouldubelieve12 from Plympton is the biggest culprit of them all, they will win by 15 goals and he'll tell you that Plympton's A Grade team bus drove off a cliff and they had to fill the side with U16's

you're right jabber. you've got what you've got and you've got what you've got, doesn't matter which way you look at it. no guarantee you'd win with those that are out. fact is 21 blokes on the list to play the game and they are the ones that get a crack.
came across another past player umpiring a reunion game on saturday. maybe it's more common than i thought :?

That's IF every week with virtually an under 18's squad and we are not making any excuses, the challenge is to develop and instill belief in the young lads and to use this year as a learning experience against quality opposition, the under 16's playing A grade are running amok on a Sunday in the 16's comp.

Maybe i should play 16s.. might get a kick...

i got a feeling IF might be due for an upset this weekend... might chuck some money on them with a 10 goal head start :P
