Everyone at clubs like Henley and Kilburn get paid huge amounts but everyone at Seaton plays for the love of the club. I'd love to play they're too. Getting abused by ferals and stepping over Woodstock cans in the carpark is loads of fun.

Mate you are a joke. All you can say is "Kilburn pay loads because I say so", and "Seaton don't pay because I say so". Come back with something credible and write your fairy tales somewhere else.

My understanding is seation have a fairly substantial players budget.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Did i say Hawkins & Harvey were over $250 at Seaton? yes i think so!
Seaton no-doubt have gone over the top at times, i must admit Andy.
I can gaurantee you 2007 though was not an over the top year in terms of player payments.
Henley have never been a side to splash around big $$$, i stated someone must of won some $$$ there as their is a bit of money going around "this year Andy". DID YOU READ THAT?
Your obviously one of the culprits that leave their cans on the ground at other venues, barr your own as we don't sell woodstock at Seaton, thats a cheap mans bourbon!
How long you been at Kilburn Andy?
Other than the 68K they spent to win their latest flag under Delaney, do you know the over the top figure they reached under Roach & Co?
I can tell you its more than Delaney's year!

You're right no idea. There weren't any Woodstock cans at Seaon, just empty grange; '82 I think.

Keep clutching at straws mate. Guys like Danny Ryan who were better players than you could hope to see playing in the SAAFL would play for nothing. Can't see that happening at Seaton.

I've been at Kilburn for four years, but when you insult Kilburn, you insult people infinitely better than me. I'm no good, so I don't mind copping shit, but these guys are beyond you criticism. Start a new thread for yourself, div 8 reserves.

No need to clutch at straws Andy, ive never mentioned Danny Ryan.
Sean Coard plays for next to nothing.
How long you been at Kilburn 4yrs? i thought it was 3 sorry!
Speaking to a former club director from Kilburn he believes sanity would prevail if they turfed Martin, O'hara & A.Graham.
Do you realise Andy how hard your making it for your club & coach O'connor?
If he knew you were on here shooting your gob off about recruits & how much you think you know, to sound so important, when clearly you don't know as much as you think you do, i can see you getting marching orders back to Aldinga.
I could see you playing & starting your own thread next in div 8 reserves.

Oh bugger I've screwed up. Ocker just rang up and kicked me out the club. His plan was for us to win games by having a secret captain and secret assistant coach.

Seriously mate, other people mentioned it before me, one even posted an article from the Gawler newspaper containing the info. It makes no difference mentioning these guys at all.

What secret info would you have if you were coaching, "The flying V"? What other moves did you learn from the Mighty Ducks?

Now I've been kicked out I may as well blow some more confidential information.

TOP SECRET

Trials against Pooraka, Virginia and Kapunda.

This message will self destruct in 5 seconds.....

Rumours about what clubs are spending are just that but generally when there is smoke there is fire. Look at the big picture; A heap of rumours about large player payments, a heap of new and well credentialled recruits, it all points to Kilburn blowing the cap this year no worries.

I know blokes on here will defend their club and that's expected but do you really expect the rest of us to swollow it.....

Boozehound have you ever thought that Kilburn have in the past been a very driven and succesful club in the past and that when you people talk amatuer league Kilburn are one of teh select clubs that come to mind? Ok the last few seasons have been disappointing from the clubs view, but unlike other clubs, they have got people with the know how on how to sell the club!, put things in place to make the club succesful. Steve O'Connor is one the best coaches I know of, not just in terms of coaching but his ability to inspire players to play for Kilburn.

Yep Kilburn pay players .. so What!! But I know of handful of paid players who whilst Kilburn where struggling, palyed for nothing so the club could recruit new players to teh club, these players could grab $250 easy from any other club.

Ill infromed people like yourself can cast thought over what a club pays, does, or is offering to players, coaches, and staff, but unless your involved then you have no idea really do you......???????

Hmmm, One thing you need to realise "start" is that if you are going to criticise someone you should make sure you make your point is relevant. Firstly I didn't suggest Kilburn haven't been a successful and driven club in the past. Secondly, whether you are or are not invloved in a club you generally will NOT know 100% what players are getting (unless you are footy director, pres or the club is loose with that sort of thing) and I have not suggested otherwise. Thirdly I have not suggested that it is improper to pay players or criticised Kilburn for doing so.

It seems like you just used that post to do nothing more than pump up Kilburn as a glamour club of the amauter league and Steve O'Connor as the most inspirational man walking the earth. (Which I might point out I am not suggesting he is not....)

The only thing I have suggested is that Kilburn are spending big this year and I stand by that. What people on here have told me that Adrian Wilson is getting is an outright lie or they are not in the know...These are the same people defending the club when it comes to player payments...

Are you really in the know down there? Are you the president? Are you the footy director? Is your club loose lipped with what they pay players? Which is it...
Harsh but fair.....

Smoke? I'm not sure about that! Maybe piss and wind from blokes like you, does that mean there's fire.

There is no heap of rumours, just one or two ridiculous ones on here. Of course there was always going to be a lot of recruits, we lost almost an entire team.

Kilburn has the best facilities in the SAAFL and a coach who is known as being successful throughout South Australia. Players would want to play for us for that reason. If you look at quotes in the Gawler paper that someone posted on here earlier, one player said it made sense to follow Ocker because he had played his best football under him. I believe that rather than rumour mongering idiots like boozehound who is to scared to tell us which club he is from for fear of revealing his own hipocrisy.

As for you No-Idea, Seaton would have spent the most money in div 2 last year. You've even snared a couple of our players in the past. How much did that cost?

Kilburn has a proud history, great facilities and people which are all reasons to play football there. I understand that you can't comprehend this as it lies outside your experience as a lice that jumped from one unfortunate club to another.

Andy, I will only respond to the part of your post that relates to me. I have not resorted to personal attacks on anyone and when your argument is compelling, which you may experience one day but clearly are yet to, you don't need to resort to them. Furthermore, I do not need to reveal anything about myself if I don't wish....clearly you have not chosen to tell the world who you are either "Andy 24"

As per the rest of your post glamourising Kilburn & coach as the Wholesome Brady bunch of the Amatuers I suggest you refer to my previous post directed at your mate Start...

P.S. Thanks for talking some sense while I was gone Dogwatcher.......

Ha ha boozehound. Are you suggesting your argument is compelling? Like No-Mercy all you have done is made a statement without giving any reasons to back it up.

You say that generally only the football director or president knows exactly how much is being paid yet you expect us to believe that you do. You don't have to let us know who you are or where you are from, but anonymity does not lend itself to credibility. You can't expect to make outrageous comments with no substantiation and go unchallenged. By attacking another club without at the least letting know which club you are from is cowardly.

As far as I can tell, you have said that because we have recruited Adrian and some others, we will blow the salary cap. One player does not a salary cap blow. We have lost many players over the past two years so I can't see how recruiting a few new guys will put us over the $35k. I thought it was $32k before but with the new amount this averages out the over $90 for 21 players in every game. Of course some players get more but not everyone is paid and some would be paid less.

I do not know how much people are getting paid, nor would Start, but neither of us make ridiculous allegations from limited information. By the way, my real name is Andy and I have been named by others a few times on here but it would be unlikely for many people to know me anyway. However if I do have a go at someone at least I am not hiding and I open myself up for someone to have a go back.

There you go again, suggesting something that is simply not true.

I did not say i know what all players are getting, I said I know what Wilson was offered and i suggested that a lot of players have been recruited. Now by a lot I really do mean alot. Somewhere between 17-20 is more recruits in a season than I have ever heard of.....

Also, i haven't personally attacked anyone and then hid behind my anonimity either Andy. I have simply made obvservations, some of which involve your club, and given my opinion. Is whatever i say gospel....no. Do I expect everyone on here to believe everything I say.....no.
