You must have been watching a different game to the one I was playing in then. He was shocking, a close second to the WOS umpire for "worst performance of the year!"

Would've been 5 in a row if we didn't lose to Elizabeth, could've made a push for the finals, we'd probably need to win all 4 now and I couldn't see us knocking off Plympton in round 18 unless they were more than a game and a half clear on top at that stage. I would give us a 30% chance vs BOS this week, 50/50 vs WOS at home and about the same vs Hope Valley away.
I did back us to win on Saturday, I thought Pulteney might have some complacency after flogging us stupid last outing and we have been playing some good footy in patches.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but every game is 50/50 - isn't it? ;)

It is on paper at the start of the year, once you start taking playing lists, form etc. it becomes a 70/30 or whatever the situation is. I wouldn't rate us a 50/50 vs Plympton at Plympton.

so who do we believe..the guy who watched the game or the guy who played in it..tony umpires very well..how can you complain when you win by 19 goals LMAO..any umpire would have been better than the 2 jokes who came out after the res..didnt favour any side..were just incompetent at best..brain dead at worst..over turning a goal from 30m away when the valleys goal umpire had already signalled a goal to us just after half time..disgraceful..and pushing in the side is now a rule..trevor made that one up on the day..their arm signals were all wrong for holding the ball or a ball up..they pointed in the wrong direction for frees and basically they stole the cheque after the game :(

Depends on the day, I too think that we'll miss out though, the kids have been really finding their feet now and have accustomed to the pace of A grade, although it's been a disappointing season, we can still take something out of it.

Never in my life have i seen an Umpire like him
To give a free kick away cos he too lazy to bend down and grab the ball and wanted it delivered to him belly high was a disgrace.
Then to give a 50 away for blokes asking why was even worse!

not at this stage.
hopefully we get a chance to have a crack at getting the cup back before the year is out. having to present it twice this year has been tough.
the final score was still showing on that flash electronic scoreboard when we left almost an hour after the game. i'm sure the attendant just forgot to switch it off :(

Interesting situation that one. Is it possible for the ball to hit the inside of the post and not be called a point? In this situation I actually believe the field umpire did the right thing. Nobody at the goal square argued that the ball didn't hit the post...
If i'm not playing football then i'm probably watching it, otherwise i'm at least thinking about it!
