It's Official. Ex Brooker Dazzling Darryl ain't the man, and ex Brooker Paul Niven is.
As long as he doesn't cryptically give away anything fake to the opposite sides
Can anyone give us a bit of background on him?Like where he has coached and played.
Nivi is a Poster on this site
Wont give away who that is unless he comes out and says for himself

Nivo last year was assistant Coash as St Pauls, came in to help Craig Manuel after few rounds
Before that i know he has coached alsewhere but here i not 100%
Hope Valley comes to mind though a few years ago

He's applied at HV before, but never coached there. I only know of him coaching Central United for a few years, but I'm sure he's coached elsewhere as well. Not too sure of his coaching ability, good bloke to have a beer and a chat with though. I reckon he'd be one of those coaches that you either like or hate - no in betweens with nivo

this ingle farm appointment has taken a fair while and been a topic of discussion. paul niven sent some info to us previously, seemed to have a pretty reasonable background and also had a bit of a yack to him and he seemed to have some good ideas and pretty inquisitive about our coaching role for '09. good luck to him. a few changes in div 5 coaches for 2009, always makes things intersting.

zedman - seems you guys are staying in div 5 after all the i's are dotted and t's crossed at delegates meeting on december 1 from what i read. looking forward to that quality bbq when we head down your way.

Paul Niven has played at Tea Tree Gully, Kersbrook and Houghton and has coached at Paralowie, Central United and was out at St.Pauls this season. Is good mates with Houghton Coach Mark Kamenic.

Excellent observation STS. After turning over 4 coaches in 3 years, I'm sure the committee wanted to invest a little more time into the selection process to ensure they got the right man for the job. I admire anyone who puts their hand up to take on a coaching job at a new club and like you STS I would like to wish Paul the best of luck in 2009.

I know for a fact magpie that the last coach was recommended to the commitee by a group of people who interviewed him. Now the commitee had the last say they could of went with him or made there own judgement. surely the commitee and dasha sat down and went thru payment etc. why didnt he keep a copy of his contract?
