We would have to be having a chat to Batesey. Would be a chance to join his good mate Rogo in the magoos with me as well. Would be awesome to have a bloke of his calibre around the place once again.

Rumour has it he might be off to Plympton to join his KI mates there, but I reckon there might still be some Red, Green and White in his veins.

Whoever he plays for, if he plays at all, I really hope is his back and knee allow him a lifestlye of reasonable comfort.

Its quite comical that the perception of any footballer that is willing to travel and play country footy there only motive is the $$$$$ ... Cause no clubs pay players in the city !!! I'm sure Batesy would have been pocketing huge match payments in the years he spent at Mitchell Park

I know for a fact Batsey was on massive payments at Mitchell Park, I reckon he won the coaches award (worth a minimum $20 Springfield meat voucher) even when he didnt play.

Theres a reason the two werent to be trusted alone...

Well here's some of the names leaked by the press heading over to Ingle Farm from Para Hills Lynch, Wood, Cirroco, Skelton, Cummins, Cavell, Marston. Another 345 other guys we don't have names for yet but they will be revealed shortly I'm sure. Judging by reading the last few pages of this thread they've NEARLY got as many recruits as Central United have

Do we really care about the bucks. Lets face it if you are worth a quid or two you ain't playing Div5 downwards. When was a premiership won with money at this level, and if it was betcha the players are well gone now and the club is in financial ruin.
Some clubs spread the love and so they should if they have a long term person who eventually gives it all back in one way or another. Love the banter but.

C'mon Morell you know that the meat voucher is THE prized award at Lionland. No one gets paid, so there must be something to look forward to. Do I sense a tinge of jealosy with you and Bater? Just interested.
