It will be interesting to see how GG go next year. Of the 2 sides coming down from D3, i would expect Salisbury to be very strong next year. Not sure on Salisbury West, depends on their internal problems. If Mitcham or PAOC dont progress, they will be strong next year too. Fitzroy would be very hopeful of a big 2009, and im sure they will if they can keep their current side together and injury free. Haven would be in a similiar situation with their young group. Pooraka may drop off if they cannot improve their depth.

IMO, GG could go ok next year. They seem to have a alot of depth, probably more than half the sides in D4 this year.

I remember in '01 we won D6. We went straight through D5 in '02 and D4 in '03, '04 we were in D3. Could see Golden Grove doing the same thing. I don't think the gaps between D4/D5 and D5/D6 are anywhere near as big as the ones between D3/D4 or D2/D3.

North Haven will struggle next year. I hear the Hoods down there are leaving, and there maybe a couple more going as well.

Would they ever head back to North Pines? McIntee and Matt Hood are best mates, would probably stick together.

Thanks mate.

We went in this year with about 2 new guys from the 07 team, lost 2 to retirement. So 20 of the same 22. Para Hills got themselves a couple of good key forwards (Hanson & Flynn), another midfielder (Page), and had some other guys step up (Jarvis, Marks, Nuske back from injury), and they stayed up comfortably. And look where we ended up... :?

Mitcham and Para Hills have had similiar journeys. Its almost a case of building some momentum, keep your winning group together and add 1-2 quality recruits along the way.

We have some work ahead of us in preparing for next year, but hopefully we can have a crack. We have the foundations in place.

One more box to tick this year though...

Pretty much mate, talls if you can get them. Teams like Walkerville are just stacked with talls, on dry days it can be hard to compete.

We were competitive, but not competitive enough unfortunately.

Haven finished 5th, will lose a couple of players, so may drop down a spot or 2. Where is the money coming from down there? You must just about be all out of it by now?

Our U/18 are in the Grand Final and the rest of our Juniors go alright as well...........all good for the future!! Every club loses players each year and Haven will be no different.
Haven's money tree's are still growing and going alright!!
