Never ever thought i'd actually agree with RTG![]()
Ventured out to Glenunga v Houghton yesterday and must say both Bourke & Roberts from Fitzroy are gonna be very good players at this level...bit sad I wasn't allowed near The Rams huddle though![]()
also heard Raggies star Malcolm Grossmann will be suiting up for Athelstone C grade....makes for some very good talent running round in div 7 this year.
The Lakers had a good hitout today with West Croydon, very competitive game in the wet....looking forward to TTG round 1.

Iv been reading up on the forum and there is alot of hype about Glenunga and Mawson Lakes. Being a Glenunga player I must say, there is a great feel about it. Whats the go with Mawson Lakes?? Are they a newly formed club? From what i've seen of the clearances posted on the saafl magazine there are alot of players transfering out there.
Also I wouldnt under rate TTG and Modbury as they both dominated the C1 competition last year and play a very hard and competitive brand of footy.
Any comments welcome.
Cheers,
Andy

Pocketrocket, you were with Pultney last year?
IMO, Glenunga will be very competitive, but will be tested if they have to rely on their lack of depth.

After having a knee recon i decided to captain the C grade in my first year back after the surgery. left halfway through the season and played for TTG. Since moved out to Glenunga. We are very competitive out there but i wouldnt go as far to say that we have a lack of depth when we have beaten two div 6 teams in the trials. granted they are only trial games however does give us indication of where we could be headed.

I was just suggesting a lack of depth considering the B Grade result. Yes, you have some good talent in the A Grade, but it slips away pretty quickly once you start having to pick from the Reserves side. I wish you guys well of course, I just know how testing it can be to the A Grade once you get a few injuries and the cover just isn't there.

You could say I 'played', but I would view it more like a bloke running around like a headless chook that hadn't touched a footy for six months
