Josh Blyth is a "big" forward if he can stay fit, Aaron Crolla played in a Div 2 premiership at Towns and has played in A1, his brother Dane won a B@F at Towns at 17, Adam Huddleston has played Div1 at Towns and one of their young guns and Jordan Butler is a tough hard unit who has also played A's at Towns. Nice pickups Kookas. :)

looks like towns have denied Jordan Butler a clearance. How many times can you have a go at getting him cleared?

Sounds like some very good recruiting from the Kookas. they will definately be around the mark this year. Having a closer look it seems some of these guys didnt play footy last year and yet still attract points? Injuries? Holidays? I could be wrong but my calculations are:

Blyth - 0 games 2012 - 2 points
Bowie - 0 games 2012 - 2 points
Huddleston 0 games 2012 - 2 points
D.Crolla 0 games 2012 - 0 points
Butler - can't work out why he wouldnt be cleared looks like he hasn' t played since 2010?? Am I missing something?
Wright looks like a very handy pick up also but only played the first bit of season 2012 - 2 points

Blyth had a year off but will be 2 pts, Huddleston will be a mix of A's and B's from 2011 and more than likely 1 at best, D Crolla played a few games of B's at South Clare in 2012 so will be 0, Butler hasn't played for a year or so but has a habit of not paying subs, enough said. Fact is they will all be very good players in Div 5 and the Kookas have been smart in their recruiting of quality lads with minimal pts.

As i said they all are very handy players, just didn't know the reason they played very few games between them last year? Wasn't questioning any if there ability. You seem to know a few of the ex edwardstown boys, maybe you could shed some more light. BTW Huddleston played 15 A grade games in 2011 means 2 points.

Few pages back.....the only name of note is S. Taylor

He's a bit like Burke...older but damaging if he gets his hands on it. If the bodies a little older I'd check him hard and close. That's the right medicine, but easier said than done

You would think Colby came up in the conversation with the Kookas. I take it by the fact that there is only one Blyth on the clearances page he is staying put???
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Goodwin is a good recruit, but I think Rebbeck will end up playing in the 2's

Tend to agree Fred.
Don't think Rebbeck has the ability to tear a game apart.
Every time we have played PH Rebbeck has never caused us any dramas.
It was always Thach, Hanson, Flynn and Goodwin we had to worry about.
Will PH have a competitive side this year? Some big losses in the past 2-3 seasons.

The word around town is that Michael "Dogga" Dougherty is a late inclusion into the Glenunga line up this season. He has decided against playing for Victor Harbour this season and the fact that Chad Bourke has left makes it achieveable in a financial sense and he is best mates with the new coach. By all accounts this is a massive positive as Kaino hasn't really got out of second gear this pre season. Could be a good year at the Rams....

Michael Doughty is playing for Reynella signed last year( was a write up in the advertiser). Was never going to Victor Harbour. Has gone back to play with his mates to win a flag. Blokes have returned to the club to play with him and also some have come out of retirement. Not sure if I'm correct but is Dan Threadgold the new coach at Glenunga.

Para Hills have a pretty long list of ins I see. Few juniors coming in there it seems? and some pretty good recruiting there.

I thought Kane Stewart was coach of Glenunga who Dogga knows quite well however i do believe that Dogga is playing at Reynella this season.

Well here’s a turn up.

The original “ruling” a couple of weeks ago of all members of the SAAFL Executive Committee to stay off safooty under any name linking them to an official role within the League was apparently a bit confusing and maybe not compulsory.

BUT guess who just led the charge to make this move official?

Bugger me, “Executive Member” put it up to the Executive Committee and they all agreed that none of them should comment on safooty under titles linking them to the League.

This was passed.

Who would have thought?!
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.
