Well frontfoot, you have been miss informed, if any or all the cricketers want to go footy training they can, they will and they do, however, i wouldnt like them to play in a pre-season DIV 6 BLOCKBUSTER trial game while we were still playing GRADE 1 cricket.... especially if we were in finals contention, and also when did DIV 6 !!! parklands football become so serious....

This division looks to have the makings of one of the toughest/closest seasons in Div 6 for as long as I can recall!!
So many sides that would be confident going into round 1! Interested to see how the season pans out.

So the meetings between the 2 committees to sort things out went well then? Gee you Central United blokes are a precious mob, thanks for the capitals to emphasize Grade 1 now I'll give u one WHO GIVES A ****? It's hard wicket suburban cricket mate it's social not like your playing for the ashes. Also where did I say Div 6 parklands football is serious? Point is blokes should be allowed to do whatever they want for goodness sake because they play both for fun, not like they're getting paid big bucks for it....oops this is CU so maybe they are, my bad :oops:

what meeting ?? did i miss it ?? the players can do what they like mate, the cricket is social,as is the football, but if the same group of guys put their time and effort into any sport, tues, thurs and all day saturdays for 6 or 7 months of the year , i dont think its enrealistic to expect those players to finish the season without risking injury in a div 6 trial match, its about respect for your other team mates and if you cant see that , well , clearly , you are a complete knob that should play golf or tennis, and i cant see any disruption that you perceve, its only social sports...

Gary Ablett signed with Central United? In all seriousness, if Raymond plays for Woody South, he will cut it up!

definately sounds like the bloke can play and you may well be correct in saying he will destroy this comp but in the last few years we've had a few blokes come in with the same sorts of things being said about them. They have been very good players but im still yet to see a player "destroy" this competition. could be the first time this year you never know!

we'll definately know where each other are after round one if this stays the same. CU v BOS will be a huge game to see if CU have improved and if BOS have retained/gained anything. Ingle farm will also have a big test first up V trinity. we will definaltely know how good IF will be after playing a team that has made finals for at least the last 3 years

Pfft this will be a walk in the park for Ingle Farm. I can see them winning by around 13 goals with the team they have assembled.

if they beat trinity by 13 goals they will be firm favourites for the flag, it also means they will beat other teams by double that. Trinity are no pushover

=))

So a team that loses Tremain and Moore, then replaces them with Para Hills B-Graders, is suddenly going to have a 200-point turnaround on a team that thrashed them in both games last year 8-}

It's funnier 'cause I really was having a larf!

Let's hope it's not as hot as the Round 1 from 2005. We were playing away against St Paul's OS and it was near 40°C. The policy was to stop for a drinks break midway through every quarter, but it made things worse because it meant we were out in the heat for longer. It ended up being a marathon game, with us in front by a point when the siren went and St Paul's OS with a free kick in front of goal, only for the decision to be reversed after one of their players snotted one of ours in the nose. Classic encounter.
