Looks like the round 17 clash between Glenunga and CBC could decide 5th spot.

Don't forget Round 18 with Greenies playing Glenunga at Glenunga.....

Greenies have Lockleys and Hectorville at home if they pinch one or both Round 18 could be massive.......

The EFC will be fine. It's still going to be a good day, celebrating 60 years.

On the upside the players can now sink more piss without a game of footy getting in the way ;)

I understand the celebrations have been postponed a couple of weeks now, is that correct?

We at Lockleys also had our Sponsors Day planned for Saturday week when we were due to play Rosewater. That's a triple header at home we can't get back & represents a huge loss of revenue to our Club & we all know how hard it is to make the books balance. Agree with the League's decision, but unfortunately it does carry ramifications for other innocent parties.

So with Rosewater games now being a non event do teams still have to submit their team sheets as this could have an effect on players being eligible for finals in different grades? I would assume that if your selected in a particular grade the week before you were due to play Rosewater you would then have the Rosewater game count towards the previous grade selected in or does the club need to resubmit a team for each grade against Rosewater?

we have been told that we are to submit a team sheet & players will be credited a game as if it had been played.

Basically, the event will still be held this weekend.
People were coming from interstate for the day, which meant something needed to be held.

Instead, the three senior sides will be holding a training session from 1pm.
The club will have a barbecue going and still hold all of the formal functions that had been planned.
That will go throughout the day.
A DJ is still booked for later in the night for anyone who might wish to hang around.

The guernseys, which were to be worn on the day, will now be worn during the August 6 game against Smithfield, while the Dave Rogers Medal, Harrison Family Medal and the to-be-announced C grade medal will be presented to best on ground on that day.

Not ideal, but we can deal with it.

I'd also like to say, I'm not acting in any way as a spokesman for the club. My only involvement is as a past player who has been involved with the organisation, very minimally, of the past players day.
