well it was a bit of a comedy of errors. player red carded in thrid quarter prob half way through quarter. fairly chaotic on our bench due to a number of factors. as a result one of our bench players went back on to the ground about 5-6 minutes after the red card. was picked up by someone and resulted in a player count right on the three quarter time siren. 18 players on he ground for us, bit more confusion, umps unsure what to do. end result our score wiped. scores were bos 6.6 to if 3.12. we kick into the wind in the last quarter they kick 3.2 to our 2.1. we were forced to play with 17 in the last quarter as it was claimed incorrectly that we could not replace the red carded player at all. also as it turns out the player count and score reduction was incorrect also as that rule changed a couple of years ago. rule 33 in the handbook from memory.
lucky this game wasn't impacting finals aspirations.
as for depth, we did have a few probs on saturday but should have that rectified with some tissues and codral in the coming week

basically..rosies had a guy yellowed then double yellowed then red carded and banned from the game for the day..we understood that to mean he couldnt be replaced so when another rosewater player went onto the ground we called a count..unbeknowns to us the umpire had told rosewater that he could be replaced but didnt tell us..the count therefore was 18/18 and rosies got a free kick 50m out..got a goal and broke our momentum..i always thought red card was gone for the day and couldnt be replaced..always something new to learn eh?

i think Horsell may have it wrapped up for some reason those umpires just love him,
so dont be suprised if he gets it (plus he hasnt had a bad year)

You think? He's been quoted as being "too old and too slow"

Up to the Umps disgression as to the amount of time that the player cannot be replaced for, i believe that there MUST be some period of time (but i may be wrong), but the umps can decide eg 15m, end of qtr, 3/4 time etc, interchange steward and bench to be advised...
But there is no set time limit on it.

Incorrect -
Yellow Card - off for ten minutes - with replacement (if available)
Second Yellow Card - same conditions of Red Card + automatic one week suspension
Red Card - Off for game - no replacement for rest of game
