Is it true that Adel Uni / Colin Rowston reported Matt Stent after watching the SA Footballer footage of the match that went up on YouTube this morning?
Heard he's also been informed he cant play until he's had his tribunal hearing? Guilty until proven innocent?

Sounds pretty harsh to me, or am i in the minority?

Get a Tribunal together tonight/tomorrow morning. Hell, I'll do it on the hill at Adelaide Oval.

If it's on video there shouldn't be too much to argue about.

Haven't seen the footage, got a link?

I believe there is a bylaw that says you can't play until you attend the tribunal.
I guess what makes it a little unfair for Matty is that in this instance (assuming Zartan has is correct) is that he hasn't been given an opportunity to attend a tribunal between being reported and the next game.

I can only assume the footage is fairly damning and its obvious he'll get at least 1 game.

Probably should be allowed to play until the hearing, but if there is footage and he did something wrong. Bad luck.

Wouldnt there be a cut off time for reports to be made? At a guess probably on a Monday or Tuesday,

The footage was apparently taken down after finding out that the report had been made.

It's pretty unfair on Matty and TTG to find out on a Friday afternoon that he can't play.

So SA footballer has just stitched Matty up then?

I'm sure he'll be cancelling his subscription after that effort.

Presumably not if new evidence arises that can lead to a report/suspension by investigation?

I agree that the notice is unfair. Having said that, if he's done something to warrant suspension, and presumably if there's a video and the League has taken these steps what he's done isn't insignificant he's done something fairly unfair in the first place.

Yeah, certainly an interesting one.

I guess the league needs to set a strong precedent. Last thing you would want is if a player is on report, but is allowed to play, knows he's going to get done next week at the tribunal (that say pushes him over the 12 game threshold) so goes out in a blaze of glory a-la Alistair Lynch in 2004! haha

Not saying any of the above applies directly to Matty, just talking about hypotheticals for other players in the future, hence the need to get the precedent right now.

Fairly reliable source that Matt is playing tomorrow and will go through the usual league processes next week. Fair result

Fair enough. Precedent set couple of weeks ago when GAZA captain was reported but tribunal not held till the following week. He was allowed to play against Athelstone and of course he kicked the winning goal, much to Jade Sheedys disgust. Then got three game suspension in the end.

There has to be some time limit. If youre sitting on some incriminating evidence do you just hold it until the week before you play them again? Most leagues would have a cut off in their constitution.
I think its ridiculous someone can be reported on a Friday after the game and by a club if im reading it right

I watched the game and can't remember any untoward incidents, so will be interesting to see what he supposedly did. Anyone see the footage on SA Footballer?
