those blokes were just bad, i dont think they were biased in any way, just bad umpiring in the conditions.
way too many touchy free kicks in conditions that called for some sensible umpiring. there must have been 20 x 25 metre penalties paid for the game, on any other day 5 of those would have been paid max, just overumpring plain and simple, unfortunately most of it went against us, but ultimately didnt impact the overall result.
couple of polaxed rosewater blokes shouting abuse at our team as they were walking back into the sheds after the game - well done
heres hoping that next week is a cracker game

I only saw the first quarter, resembled more of a bloody rugby match than a footy match. (footage will be on Grassroots this week)
Yeah, the facilities were poor but I guess no one probably wouldn't have cared if it wasn't such a wet day. However, luckily I brought my portable rub down table because there wasn't ANY tables supplied in the home room![]()
Clubs have 7 days to lodge an investigation, so Plympton lads, your club may not find out about it until next week, even if he is found to have a case to answer it won't be till after the GF so he can still weave his magic yetOh, and Booooooooooo to the inconsiderate Plympton supporter who walked straight in front of my camera which stopped me from capturing Jimmy at his best

sprinttospace wrote:surely an investigation would not be pulled in a final unless there was a really serious indiscretion. i didn't see it as i was kicking the footy with my lad but the guys i was with said there was a bit happening behind the play. must say #33 for pulteney was copping a bit of attention but kept his focus.

All I have heard around the traps is how bad WOS were last week, they lost by 5 goals to the 2nd side. Can they be that bad again?? Would suggest if they improve they should win imo. Good win by our U18s today aswell. I wonder whether there is a chance to play the 18's prelim beween Plympton and Kenilworth as a twilight final next week after the A's if it is played at Kenilworth. Big crowd to watch the game.... would be gold for both clubs.

had a sense late in the 2nd that a couple of plympton forwards may have thought the game was under control, lost a bit of focus and tried to intimidate the pulteney defenders after a couple of goals were kicked.
think plympton may have only kicked 1 pt in the second half. they seemed to have control until half way through the third and then all of a sudden pulteney's game came together. silvy stood up i thought.
either side would have been unlucky to lose. pulteney just gutsed it out and maybe the week off helped given the conditions.
in drier conditions i think pulteney have got the game and discipline to win the big one.
plympton v westminster will be a corker next week.
probably at st marys as plympton cant have a home finals. that might favour westminster as they play a big ground well.
