I posted in the mailout that this was the most important game for the club in the past 30 years, and i reckon it is, the club has to start moving up the divisions.
The players have got a bit of focus about them, and the best thing is that they aren't in the same situation as in the last threes, playing in the prelim from third or fourth, and being the real underdog to get up.
This year they are playing in a prelim from second spot, the task shouldnt be as daunting as in previous years.
I think the life long supporters will be feeling more nervous than any of the players, they are the ones that have seen the club without success for so long.
Big day today, there wouldnt be a plympton supporter that wont have their hearts in their mouths for the entire day, hopefully at 5pm today a proud club starts the climb to div 4.

Neil Kerley said Prelims are harder and tougher to win than Grand Finals. Not as daunting? I think each one is as daunting as the previous one and sounds like you are arent rating your opposition as highly as the ones that you have loss to in previous years. Dangerous ground perhaps?

Ok, let me get something straight, i'm well aware that a prelim final is hard, all im saying that the mindset of this prelim will be different to the mindset in previous years.
Plympton played sides that were extremely powerful, and had an aura about them.
WOS are a great side, but they don't have the aura about them that the greenacres' and fitzroy's sides did, nothing away from WOS, great side. But im sure any who have been in the comp for that period would say the same thing, not saying that WOS can't win because of it, and even though Fitzroy and Greenacres had this aura we still knew they were beatable.
But the mindset going into that game was one of an underdog, and they played accordingly.
This year they are attacking the prelim from the opposite direction, not saying that plympton has an aura about them because i believe they dont, i dont think any side in the comp this year does. But they are more equal.
Ito recap, because i dont know whether its that i dont explain well or something else, but i understand that the prelim is going to be tough, and WOS are a good side, , and either side can win it. But i just think plympton are in a better position to win it this year, mentally, than they were last few years.
