C5 team flying at the moment

doing very well

Yeah your C's are going really well.

Looking as if you guys down that way at Nth H are stacking the lower grades seeing the As have no hope of making finals this year.
Not that you ever say that going on!
Can't win a game. Then win 2 in row, Elizabeth was a good win for you but knocking of the second best team in C5 makes u wonder hey! Then the As get smashed the same week. ? will be asked by all in C5 unless you back it up now.

LOL! That is the most ridiculous post I've heard all year. You clearly have no idea about our club and what's going on there and therefore the rest of Division 5. The differance in the grades are completely diiferent and our club is an example of that. I can assure you we are not stacking the C grade they have won 2 games in a row FFS! It's not as if they have won 9 in a row or something like that, they are 2 and 7 and are 7th on the ladder out of 9 teams. Brahma Lodge are the bottom team and they beat our C's- their only win for the year. 9 players out of the C's don't train at all and 7 train 1 night a week if we are lucky (From the team on Saturday). Sorry mate but to make a comment like that is really, really hilarious. LMAO

I noticed the B grade scores were tight DK. Did you guys have a few out or have Smithfields B grade improved??

Nah, the B grade changers every week anyway. I just thought Smithfield really took it up to them and that there were a few players thinking that they were going to win the game easily because of Smithfields previous results and position. That as we know doesn't mean anything come game day. Got out of Jail in the end

Like any football club we would like nothing more then to see our C grade doing well on the football field. As a club at this stage we are happy with being able to field a side each week. Most of those guys are happy to just be out there running around without the pressure of having to train twice a week. I filled in for one game and was more then impressed to see the guys out there having a great time and enjoying their football with smiles on their face and almost felt like i was a little to intense but thats just me when i play unfortunately.

Hopefully our A grade and B grade sides get a few back from injury with the break now in front of us which should hopefully help the C grade a bit as i know our B grade has raped the C grade the last couple of weekends really hurting their chances of being competitive.

I didn't play against AL and umpired a game out at portland instead so i didn't get to see the game. From all accounts they are quite good and it will be interesting to see what happens next time around.

I didn't think much of Flinders Park when they played us, i didn't play that day either but i did umpire the game. judging by results throughout other games i'd be putting flinders park's performance against us as 'one of those days'.

In reality in C grade, or in FP's position D grade, who knows how we'll go against each other on any given day, most sides in this grade have 2 teams injuries above them to cover, so any side can play superb one week and then look like junk the next. Bit of a lucky dip.

I can back up the lucky dip part
As an example last week I had 4 guys missing out on a game at The Lodge on Thursday night
come Saturday I lost 5 and only had 24 - 1 no show and 4 pull out from A & B Grade
It is a fact of life that the lowest side will always be the one who gets hit the hardest
But 1st year back and the boys have a go - was disappointed with first half against Hope Valley as probably our worse for the year - then we lost the second half by about a goal, was very happy with that as the boys could have put the white flag up and got rolled by 20+ goals

Like everyone how we go depends on injuries higher up as we have had on average about 10 A & B Grade players out every game - so the B Grade keep stealing my C Grade players ;)

Also looking at our stats we have used 50 players so far in C Grade - thats a lot of magnets I have to fit on the board :D

I would say Lutheran, Plympton & Hope Valley the best sides we have played - with lutheran for me being the stand out

Good Luck to everyone for the rest of the year and I hope it it is as enjoyable as the first part - hopefully with us wining a few more 8)

Smithfield's B grade was pretty strong, they lost with the last kick of the day, they had a few pull out late and 3 of them are A grade standard players, they will win a few games, they are not as crap as there position suggests, a lack of commitment is the problem, hopefully that turns around after the break when the A's start getting some back.

That's a big call considering you only beat us in 5 minutes of footy in the last quarter!!! I also see that a few of your lads that played that day haven't played C's since ;) !!!
The FP v Lutheran game was a cracker and they did have a good side out, we probably should have won by alot more. We haven't had a full side to play with since round 1. Been a very tough year with injuries and with a heap to come back we will be fielding stronger teams going forward.
The Park's will be back!!!

i doubt he was having a go... he did say you had a off day.. i disagree with it, i thought it was more like one bad quarter... it was a very tight contest though out the day.
you have some very good players in the comp... the thing i noticed is that you struggled to play the smaller ground... so i know it will be a very tough return match on that huge oval...
But thats not till round 11... Round 10 should be a good one, 1st time on a big oval and elizabeth have miproved... Should be a good hit out...

Which is when we were lucky enought to play you!! That side was pretty good and I thought you guys wouldn't lose too many games this year after seeing that display...

Don't read too much into it champ, there was no malice in what i wrote. When u umpire you don't look at the scoreboard (or your not supposed to at least!). And it seemed as if plympton were playing better. and as i said results suggest you guys are better than the result that day.

A few C's after being overseas, but mainly B's. I heard he could be unavailable next Saturday, so could mean he might squeeze into the C grade on friday night which would be nice :D
