Goodwood now look certain to go through the year undefeated with games against Gaza, Sals North, St. Peter's and Pt Districts to come, pretty hard to see any of them coming close to beating them.

I remember some weird stat (and someone may want to go and verify this because I can't be assed)

But in each of their consecutive premiership years (maybe bar one), Goodwood lost the last minor round game of the season.

I can recall at least 1 year where that happened, as I used to work with a player during their premiership run....

(gee, got me thinking way back to my Goodwood days)
From memory, the first one, they had to win the final match of the season against the 5th placed to team to jump into the 5. They then went on to beat all to go onto the flag.

There you go....good stat Lisa 8)

They don't call me the first lady of footy for nothing ;)

PS: Good pick on the first game MBK

Therefore, do we assume that if Goodwood win their last round game, they will lose the Grand Final?

Goodwood will want to win straight through to the GF and not have the chance of playing the preliminary. Not the best record in prelims

Also could make for a rather rowdy crowd if they're b and a grade make GF's and are popping cans from 9 AM onwards!

It's a bloody ridiculous idea. Div 2 b graders starting at 9am.
You'd think most supporters of the div 2 teams would head off to celebrate at their club rooms as soon as the game finishes. So you wouldn't get them hanging around to spend more $$ anyway I wouldn't think.

Can't work out the method to this madness??

major round times should be exactly the same as the minor round games.

I tend to agree, the only people who should ever play grand finals at 9am should be U6's - and they dont even play finals

In saying that, I'm sure there is a method to the madness.

I thought the Friday night GF would've been an option - under lights - it seems to have worked for the replay last year - and if both D2 and D2R teams agreed of course.
