interesting that div 5 is an old scholars play off...same goes for div 4..and 1 old scholar team in div 3 and 1 in div 2 if you count PHOS..

6 out of 12 spots this weekend div 2-7 GF's are old scholar teams..ok back to work now :)

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

i think houghton may have some link back to banksia park high, so that makes another. 5 playing under the banner of a school name and 2 playing under an amalgamated name with some school links. smosh almost got through to make another under the amalgamated banner.

bassets selection seems to have caused quite a stir, tv last night, radio this morning.
interesting view point from the ump i think on 5rph show, words to the effect of 'it might ruffle a few feathers but if it gets you the premeriship ...'
looking forward to see how this plays out.

how's the sleep going LB?

Bring it on... There's no point getting upset about him playing. Every club would do the same thing if they could!
He's there to help them win a flag so of course he was going to play

I can't see that Pulteney had any other choice. One of our A-graders from last week missed out on his spot this week and then there were 59 on the track last night, so there were 15 that miss out completely. Unfortunately there are not enough spots for everyone that deserves a run, but you have to pick the best team you can and hope everyone hangs tough. Definitely wasn't envious of our selectors last night.

As for my sleep, it's a little restless and interrupted... just for an example and because I think a few people will laugh at this, I woke at 4:30am this morning to the following dream...

Celebrating a win with some but not all of the boys in a bar I'm not familiar with and I hook up with a girl... blank spot... celebrating with different teammates at a different bar with the feeling that the girl from earlier has gone missing... re-emergence of the girl who responds to my question as to where she has been with the answer "I have a boyfriend, his name is *insert the name of the player I will stand Saturday here*".

3 things to take from this:
1. My sub-conscious believes we will win.
2. I am going to be so drunk Saturday night, my sub-conscious is pre-empting blank spots.
3. My sub-conscious clearly believes that my opponent on Saturday will definitely hate me by Sunday.

Or said girl dumps boyfriend for the bloodnut with a premiership medallion around his neck

Seems like your schmoozing to Barbs worked LB, best of luck tomorrow.

Ha ha ha. It was some pretty good schmoozing, but doubt it swayed Barb's.

Good luck to you boys tomorrow. Good to see you've quickly rebounded from a disappointing year last year.

LB: the girl is the flag..last week you won and you celebrated with mates..the girl seemed attainable, the blank spot is the weeks break..sadly this week you will lose and end up drinking your sorrows away somewhere unfamiliar by the end of the night..the girl.who you run into again, is with her boyfriend who is pulteney and he gets the girl(flag) in the end :D..i have no idea :)

fwiw i am going to select pulteney by 23..weeks rest and some very experienced heads, their system is excellent..westminster have been awesome and no disrespect to them..they can win it for sure if pulteney in anway arent up for it from the start..good luck to both teams..first goal jones..BOG silvy..
