I reckon that once you have forfeited a certain number of times your season is done for, no matter what the grade. Remember it needs to be consistant!

yes rocket that is already in place (28.8 to be exact). But the league has a clause that it can withdraw the team at its discretion. Now Unley better have some bloody good excuses on why they should still be in the comp.

id say it would be a money thing. for the saafl if they boot unley after 3 forfeits then they get a fine only which is small but if unley keep forfeiting youll find the fine is bigger... i cant see any other reason. oh yes i can, unley are slack m f s, but theyll watch them and if a pattern forms, only play home and against lesser teams then continue to for feet then they will get the boooot
THE NEW ERA BEGINS.....HIRD AND THOMPSON.....EX CAPTAINS EX CHAMPIONS EX.....cellent choice

Fitzroy v PAOC
Game has been moved to: Fitzroy
Game start: 11:15am

This has been mutually agreed upon by both clubs, as their oval is "unavailable".
Gives the C grade sides a chance to get back to PAOC for the A's.

I understand your comment Bay boy. Surely its better for the competition if Unley are allowed to continue. Most of the guys running around in the C grade dont want a bye, they want to have a kick and catch every week. I know at our club, the C grade is made up of 2 main groups - one group who are busting their guts to get into the B grade, and the others who are happy to have a social game on a Saturday. The guys pushing for a higher grade arent going to get any better unless they can play every week. Obviously some the the C grade sides are taking it alot more serious than others, and thats great. But who really cares about getting 10 goals wins for forfeits, etc. The best sides will still end up at the top of the ladder.

depends on Unley's motives I guess- are they genuine in wanting to play, or only want to play against the bottom sides?

Totally agree Felch with your sensible comments

Unley were forfeiting as they didn't have enough players and an umpire
So it's not a case of picking and choosing when they want to play, like some people are saying on here
