My guess would be that he can play again in 2012, but not in the SAAFL

Yeah could be, it just reads that he is open to play in the saafl again in 2012. If so, then if i was the paralowie player id be feeling a little hard done by

10 games plus finals.

North Pines guy goes up next week - if he bothers

Where did you blokes find this info?? How did the Ovies bloke go??
Well thats why they changed it because he couldnt. Probably shouldnt have bothered changing it, not sure if it will matter if he is there or not after that case :(

Elma got off the striking charge.

The 'contact' your player made is quite different to the contact the Saints player made, judging from descriptions on here. Although I still think they will be heavy handed, even on a squirt of water and tip of a cap.

The penalty they have handed down so far basically says that under NO circumstances is deliberate contact to be made with an umpire.

I Jorgy from Rosewater getting 9 games for squirting umpire 3 years ago
things have tightened up more now regarding umpires!
Could be another one in trouble

Yeah and i was saying not to put our club in that bracket. Interesting thing today in our game when one of the opposition players called one our blokes a racial degrading name. You deserved to get smacked in the head every time u say that.

Agree, but some clubs do build a reputation by the minority that effect the majority that stand by past deeds even when the club in question is trying to change.

It doesn't tell you anything much at all. Maybe your perception of those clubs needs a revamp and possibly so too does the perception of some umpires who seem to take delight in reporting people just to get the $30 tea money for a Wed night out.
In my extended time in the SAAFL, I have never seen a worse group of umpires nor a bigger crop of overpowering people in charge of a footy game. Saw one yesterday in a Div 1 game, absolutely NFI but thought he was Ray Chamberlain and umpired just as poorly as he does.
