Easily the best coach I've worked under in almost 20 years of being a trainer, and while we've lost him as a coach, I have a feeling he may stick around to help out around the club from time to time.

well done to charlie he is a ripper of a bloke i have the upmost respect for him he always went out of his way to have a chat before and after the game and always a beer or 4 even if it was the light stuff.i wish charlie all the best of luck in his future endevaours and im sure he will be much missed at the hope valley football club as there senior coach, i hope he decides to stay in footy either at hope valley or another club and if it is a new club that get his services they should be very happy great coach and even better bloke good luck charlie.....

Of course it does FC.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Why? Because money doesn't grow on trees and the name McIntosh alone doeth not maketh a great coach. Look at the win/loss record over the last 3 years...HELLO!

Don't get me wrong, Macca is a great bloke and yes he's a HV junior but IMO for the amount of money he'd require to employ, the club could spend that on number of other things...hey, we could even try something new and attract players with money...why not, everyone else is doing it!

Let's not get too caught up with all this Macca talk. At this stage (as far as i'm aware) he's still the coach of Payneham FC isn't he?

We will be considering all applications we receive and pick what we think is the best for our football club.

We are currently looking at ways to attract new players. One of the ideas is to increase the best player awards from what they are now. That way we reward those playing well and everyone has a chance to make some cash, including new recruits AND the home grown talent

Agree 100%. 'Entice' one or two KEY players which every side would love to do but the best thing the next coach of Hope Valley could possibly do is continue to promote and teach the kids they have along with the next batch coming through.
Recruits come and go just as quickly, the fruits of putting your efforts in to the born and bred have been there for all to see. Well done Charlie & Co.
