McPherson probably does deserve that kind of money im sure that Salisbury and macca would have worked something out? If Capogreco is the heart of Salisbury, their heart must have a massive murmur and is the size of pea.

Anyway, we had our first (well second really) session of the pre-season, 3km time trial with some dips, pull-up and push up test with new fitness coach Andrew Roe. Good numbers for November too, about 30 boys on the track.

Won't mention my time mate, but young guy called Shaun Baker won it with 11.05, is at Port 18s so we won't really see him. Roey is mates with Eddie through their days playing at Centrals, and after being at Sturt and North Adelaide over the last five years as a fitnesss coach, he knows his stuff pretty well.

Chief, I'd love to know how staying in A3 rather than going back and playing A4 by choice is a step backward for not only Macca, but anyone?

What will Andrew Roe do next in footy, player, coach, boundary umpire, fitness, sprigger, waterboy, goal ump, toilet cleaner?
For Christ sake Roey, marry the girl quick, that'll give you something to stay home for!
Now that is just plain dumb, don't you think?

Not actually sure mate, played at Centrals, then played country and ammo's, and has been at North & Sturt as a fitness/strength & conditioning coach for the last few years. Seems like a really good guy, good motivator as well, already changed the physical environment of the place a bit to hopefully help us with certain aspect of the game.

Pag i think Shaun Baker ran under 11 mins in the 3km time trial at Port U18s last night. Very good kid, fantastic work ethic, had a terrific season in the U17s at Port last year.

Yeah pretty much spot on Slots and Blinky Bill, the kid just wants to learn and get better. Doesn't touch any grog which is an important part as well. Played 1 game in the As last year on ANZAC Day and was very good, got about 30 touches each week playing in the Bs towards the end of 07 as well. Hope Port keep him after his year in the 18s this year and don't discard him for ressies football because of his size.

He works very hard in the gym before training, and wants to make it at Port. With the change to U18 and the loss of U19s, the guys playing in the ressies will be younger, and this will help Bakes.
