A month ago we were only fielding 1 team..... don't believe we have forfeited a game yet. Our depth is poor... well I don't think we are the only club in SAAFL with that issue, and even when we have a win .... it's still not good enough for some.

I don't know how many people that post on here have EVER had a crack at being on a club committee but I would guess less than 30% ...but they are all experts on what's happening in a club, what should happen in a club, how the club is being run, and even make it look like they have information from inside the board room.

The GFC is a proud club full of good hard working people and players that are doing the best job they can to make the club a success with a good culture, they have self funded the shed and surrounds for the betterment of it supporters and visitors alike...it's a great place to watch the footy from whilst enjoying good fresh food and a cold beverage. The committee is trying to build a culture that will last and others look at with envy..... but they don't allways get it right....sorry about that but they are human after all.

So in summary if the club fails it wont be because of anything that gets posted on here ... it will be because others are not prepared to step up and have a go instead of sitting back on the keyboard and typing ..." I told you so"

Geez you dribble some crap.

a) 6 weeks ago people asked if you were closing the door or fielding one team - that was after you showed up to A/B trial with 26 players, and given the number of clearances out of Greenacres compared to in. Of course people are going to ask questions and speculate - the situation with your club has a far wider reaching impact to other clubs.

b) No one has underplayed your win on the weekend, no one has said it wasn't good enough, you're making crap up now to make yourself feel hard done by.

c) Don't know anyone on here who has ever given you their opinion on what should happen in your club or how it should be run. I'd also hazard a guess that the percentage of posters who are or have served on committees is far greater than 30%

d) the rest of your post - i dont see the relevance in relation to your player numbers or commitment to training.. just a bunch of waft.

e) You spoke once before about people writing negative stuff on here affecting player recruiting - reckon rocking up to training with barely enough to field a netball side would have a greater impact on players committing than what a bunch of people outside the club write on here.

Act like you're the first and only club to ever be the topic of (negative) discussion on here..

Turn it up.

I was never negative about Para Hills themselves. In fact I was often complimentary.

I was, however, critical about their division placement. And still am.

morell wrote:So let me get this straight...

Potting an individual based on pretty much nothing, posting slanderous second hand material and outing him as a "flog" - Kane Cornes - is socially acceptable.

Questioning if a club has struggling numbers, lost some players and perhaps raising some queries about their structure and what grade they'd be suited to - Greenacres - is not socially acceptable.

Rarely has there been a better example of the classical Australian local footy culture neurosis.

Not really "outing him" when everyone already knew he is a flog.

Getting back to the footy. Very Happy for Greenie's getting a win even though from reports they were challenged in the last but still able to hold on. Happy for them.

For our boys and the club, was very pleased with their effort and our young lads stood tall and provided some much needed energy around the oval. Shout out to Woody South lads for hanging around for a beer after the game. A lot of them stayed back which was great. The officiating of the game was in my mind a little on the distracting and in some cases a little over officiated side. They were good though with telling the players what they did wrong or why the decision was made and were very good when approached about things. They also came in for a quick drink and were in all good for what was a tight and well played game by both sides. Very happy to get our first on the board after a difficult start

Ha seems I have touched a nerve..... a number of posters jumping to their own defence....

I like all participants of this forum are entitled to an opinion..... all opinions are equal, but some are more equal than others .

The post was my opinion of what I have read on here... end of story.

All the anti-Glenungites have gone real quiet on here

Undefeated and coming off a 100 point win. All this without their biggest recruit and absolute superstar "Le Dos" Andy Read.

The only way their season could derail was if they bought in selfish blokes like the dashboard Douchbag

I take offence to that - he's only 3 years younger than me (he's 40)

Old in football terms - yes ;)

bit early for that zartan!

i would think the appearance of schar for the dolphins would have contributed to their win over pooraka..i was very impressed round 2 with the bulls but the loss to the kookaburras after leading easily and falling apart at home again makes me smh..

Definitely early haha - but if this was the AFL it would be all the talk :P

Still expect Pooraka to be around the mark at seasons end, but dropping these games against the sides around them is going to make life bit tougher.

With Glenunga and BOS the next fortnight, guess we will really find out if Pooraka are a legit contender..
