Where's the fun in that?

Obviously a few people will know because someone has to count the votes and get the trophies done, but IMO it takes all the fun out of it.

We do our count on the big screen with photo/video highlights of the year in between votes ( a bit like the brownlow) and its awesome!! If I already knew who had won it would be boring

agreed SD. ours is similar. knowing who the winner/runner up was for both on saturday night and then running the slide show for it, the look on these guys faces when we got to round 15 onwards was gold. to win any award in a club is a great honour and having everyone find out on the night makes it that much better.

we had the count for As, Bs CS & U/18s a few weeks ago with cheap pasta meals & the club was packed. Preso night is more formal with expected 120 for sit down meal at the clubrooms.more relaxed & we get 2 good nights out of it. has always worked for us with no problems

We have always had the same arrangement too. Medal count is usually on a Sunday arvo, over a few beers and a bbq. Preso dinner is more formal. I think people at a dinner dont usually like sitting through the counting of votes, especially with the endless formalities that take place at footy presentation dinners (toasts, responses, awards, speeches, etc).

What about current coach Steve "tickle me Emlo", pretty sure he was a shoe in?? I know the club has to advertise as per their consitiution, but allowing 6 weeks is abit long in the tooth.

We did the same thing this year, for the first time in a long time, worked great having it over two different nights. With six senior teams, it's too hard to cram everything into one night, and the club makes more money, it worked beautifully.

North Haven are still coachless in all Grades
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet
