Anyone have any scores from the game or best players for woodvile south?

We didn't keep score catters but was told we won by 5 goals. Number 11 for you on the wing had plenty of the ball. also amed(5) played well in patches. Not sure on the rest I think I had stroke by the end watching this game. You where a lot smaller side this year then last year when played you, anyway thanks for the trial and good luck for the year.

It was very warm up there, did get some rain late in the game though that cooled the boys down.
Played 6x20min Quarters with the Elizabeth playing a combined B&C grade side for the first 3 against apparently the strongest starting line up Ardrossan had available on the day.
Ardrossan winning the 1st and 3rd quarters to be up at half time by 4-5 goals.
Then Elizabeth came out with a fresh A grade squad for the last 3 (Ardrossan having 28 players to work with for all 6) Elizabeth winning the game by around 5 goals.
I think both coaches would have been pleased with the hit out.

Haven to take on a country side this sunday (maksfield) or something. majority of senior players to miss, but a great chance for new coach to take a good look at a crop of 20 -23 year olds whove completed the majority of pre season. great chance to also get rid of the first lot of cobwebs. Should be a good day for the lads

Yeah really looking forward to Sunday, will be awsome to finally get back out there and get some match fitness. We had Tim Ginever come down and take us for training last night, was a great session going into Sunday. Having a trial this weekend we got good numbers, I counted 66 at training last night.

Hearing could be another former Towns player suiting up down at St Mary's to join the 5 already out there, able to confirm after Saturday as Towns playing Mt Compass prior to Kenilworth games

Is it a brother to one of the five. He would be a handy little ranger
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

He will be co captain of Towns and isn't old enough to be playing Div 5 with his skills.........he was one of Towns best against Mt Compass.

Safe to assume Kenilworth have signed another ex-Townie after seeing him play at St Mary's on the weekend.

We had a pretty decent hitout yesterday, awesome to finally get back into it!

Played our trial over six quarters, split into two games, B grade/A grade. Our B's got up easy, from what I watched it was a fairly scrappy contest earlier in the game but there were plenty of good passages of play once we got going. A grade wise the contest was pretty much even, Macclesfield played well and got up by around 3 goals in the end. Probably the biggest differance between the two sides was we didn't really have any key forwards up front still having 5-6 of our most senior players to come into our side while they had 2-3 decent key forwards that provided strong targets for them, their CHF was plucking pretty much eveything that came his way. Macclesfield were a little cleaner than us earlier in the game as it did take us a little while to get back in the swing of things, which was to be expected being our first game of this season. We showed some good signs, our attack on the footy was very good, were good in and under and had some impressive passages of play where we moved the ball really well from defence and through the midfield into the forward line and were able to create plenty of scoring opportunties.

Thanks to Macclesfield FC for the game and good luck for the season ahead. Onto Golden Grove next Saturday, can't wait, footy is finally back.
