Not pointing the finger, just saying I was surprised. You obviously missed the key point of "when we play at home".......you weren't there you don't know what we did! There was hardly anyone there and I spoke to the bar staff and one other member. Coming from Hope Valley I am sure you will be able to testify to the interaction that occurred between our clubs last year! Both times we played the hosts were welcoming! Again, was surprised....that is all.

Agree that the second quarter definitely won the game but also I thought the work rate and skill level was better for the first three quarters. Congratulations and good luck for the rest of the year, you will be hard to beat.

Seems that Greenies roll out the excuses as easily as they roll out the ca$h...
Lack of fitness at round 6 already ?? Me thinks the 'coaches' out there are more worried about their own reputation and burgeoning career rather than that of the club...

You can't get a more honest evaluation as the one they are giving, I think you're just taking pot shots.

Agree, CLG played very well and are the measuring stick. Let's be careful not to overreact! Pretty simple that Greenacres have had a real testy start with playing Para Hills, CBCOC, LUTHIES AND CLG in our first four. Easy to blame fitness on CLG result or stating that some should be playing B's etc. were those same comments relative in a come from behind win against Luthies the week before? No comments on this forum regarding fitness then.

I dont comment about games I dont see however talking to people that were there I would guess that the "few" were intrumental in the win against AL and again my comments about training were spoken about by the coach after the game Saturday according to someone that was there and heard it

There's excuses and there's reasons. I thought Turk made a fair assessment and directed his concern as constructive criticism of his teams performance.

How does a result like the one suffered by Greenies on the weekend not reflect on the coaches as well as the players.??
Seems like a ridiculous statement to me.

id say playing CBOCC,CLG and Luthies all in a row all will or should be in the top 5 could argue some tired players who have not recovered the best to get up 100 percent

p.s i still dont like greenies but can understand what turk is trying say

We ALL take responsibility for Saturday, including the coaches! Our job is to dissect the performance and set about rectifying it. I don't see how public quoting of what a coach says in the inner sanctum helps our team and club. Perhaps it's time we restrict access to the rooms. What the coach actually said was different to the quote and has been somewhat tainted....maybe Chinese whispers played a part, I do not know or really care.

No excuses here, we are fit enough, quite simply CLG were too good on the day as they will be for many teams this year.

The coaches need to go by the sounds of things, with that budget, how could they fail?
