cant see them being relegated 2 divs in 2 years!!

if i had to tip anyone going down
i would say greenacres and adelaide lutheran to go down
remainder of sides could finish anywhere from 1st to 8th!!

Greenacres will not go down. I honestly think that they may be the side that we battle for 5th and a finals berth. Will be a lot clearler picture once we know whether Pag and the Salisbury boys will be with us or not.

its hard to say
but if salisbury come down then they will be in the top five, like LM said
there are quality sides in this div like PAOC, NH, Pooraka, Salisbury west, GG i just cant see greenacres stealing one of those sides spots! plus you have fitzroy which one 8 of its last 9 games i believe!
the top 5 may not be settled until round 18
if salisbury dont come down
then i will almost guarntee that unley will go down the year after
will be 2 years in a row they have avoided relegation!! unless they do some heavy recruiting come this summer!
get on board the thunder train!!!

I think greenacres will be very competitive.
If they lose forthy it will hurt but he is only one player and they have the financial capacity and recruting power to replace him, plus add another one or two.
Reality is we have only beaten them once. Maybe it is enhanced because that one game was a GF. Was by less than a goal as well.
We are confident off the back of some very good youth but they have all right to tentativley position themselves in a similar place our preseason goals would see us.

I read with interest everyone attempts at prediciting where teams will finish in 09. I 'm not sure this type of speculation actually achieves anything apart from filling in some peoples days.... Surely what happens in 09 is affected by a number of important factors like recruiting, pre-season efforts, long term injuries, lost players, up-coming juniors, improvements, training form, different opposition etc etc and I dare to say that what we would know about the other clubs we could write on the back of a postage stamp. This topic may be better served and better analysed by discussing your own clubs strong points instead of saying 'CBCOC will finish 7th, Salisbury West will finish 8th' ???

WTF, Choccies, firstly, what are you doing posting something you have given some thought to & secondly, there's nothing wrong with making early predictions based on what knowledge we have on clubs already or from previous experiences. It can make you look like a genius or a dick 10 months from now, no harm in trying your luck.

Yes, but i think what he is getting is rather than try to guess about other clubs when we havent got much of an idea, contrubiting some info about where your own club sits, and why, may be a more enlightening conversation, rather than going round in a ladder predicting circle.

And i didnt know having your own thread was against the rules?
You dont have to read it ya know

I started that thread to get all of the dribble off of the threads that wanted to discuss the actual football rather than read mindless dribble !!! People could look in there if they chose to... or ignore it if they wanted to... Not sure it had the desired effect because it only attracted some of our young lads to get on and say some dumb things... But dumb comments seem fairly common on all threads of late !!

Nah I think discussing rumours about other clubs is much more fun than talking fact about your own club..........!!

Sorry for thinking LM !! Should I just give up now ??
Absolutely nothing wrong with talking about what a team was like last year or reliving previous encounters, but can you tell me that you know alot about what is going on at other clubs at this time of the year ?? The New Year brings a new challenge for all clubs and a crap 08 may not necessarily mean a crap 09... But it wont stop me reading the predicitions !!
