Well we've been training for 3 weeks now, there have been a couple of lads out from the south east who are showing the rest of us up during the runs...

Wat team did the south east boys play for?

Any one know who the Kilburn player is who's on the move to play with his mates at a Div 1 club!!! Word has it he is being pressured from all angles to take up the move. He is a big family man and this would make the situation more tenable for the player. He is comming to the end of an illustrious carrer and just wants to be with the family and mates. $$$ are not an issue here!!!

Wonder who it is also
i know who you are hinting at, but all players required at Kilburn next year
have signed contracts for 2009, just a couple of more to go and they aren't who you are hinting at
Also he has quite a few mates at Kilburn also, some he has played in premierships with

Normally it's a player leaving a higher grade to "go play with his mates" and not worry about "$$$" at a lower grade club, isn't it? I'm not doubting it, just sounded a bit weird...

"s" indicating plural and I think off the top of my head 2001 and prior to that 95 were A grade premiership"s" suggesting whoever they are talking about would be well into his 30s even if he was only 20 in 95. Before you get defensive Shrek, the original subject was about a player going back to play Div1 not questioning the validity of premiership claims. I suppose the other thing would be just to say who it is you're talking about.

Kiburn would not have a single player. Sorry perhaps 1, at the best 2 who would even make a Division 1 team. Whats going on Shrek. Over inflated opinion of your or team mates ability by the sounds. Very ordinary bunch to have a Divy 1 player in your ranks. Rotter pulled you up on the plural of years im picking you up on sad lack of ability

Rotter, the premierships mentioned were won with Barossa Districts.

Footylovergal, you are a nong. You are not from Gaza and I doubt you have ever been involved in a div 1 premiership. I can't be bothered arguing with someone who is just looking for a fight.

Honestly, what am I meant to do? Someone else brings up the idea of a player leaving for a div 1 club and this guy says I'm bragging about how good we are.

I suppose he wants me to list all the people in the team who could play div 1 footy. We can all safely assume this is the same person who was the candyman and is just stirring shit.

There is definatly not a $$$ issue. He would be actually taking a sizable pay cut to get back to playing Div 1 footy. The player has family who play at the Div 1 club and are involved in the committee there. One would hope even though he is a "required player" (as just about all players are to their clubs at any time), Kilburn would understand his situation and wish him all the best!!

I am also in talks with several AFL clubs regarding the pre-season draft. At this rate we won't have a team!
