WTF, Choccies, firstly, what are you doing posting something you have given some thought to & secondly, there's nothing wrong with making early predictions based on what knowledge we have on clubs already or from previous experiences. It can make you look like a genius or a dick 10 months from now, no harm in trying your luck.
Sorry for thinking LM !! Should I just give up now ??
Absolutely nothing wrong with talking about what a team was like last year or reliving previous encounters, but can you tell me that you know alot about what is going on at other clubs at this time of the year ?? The New Year brings a new challenge for all clubs and a crap 08 may not necessarily mean a crap 09... But it wont stop me reading the predicitions !!
I want one of the GG boys to predict that they will finish top undefeated..........that will start some discussion!!
 I think that has already been done Amber... trying to move away from that if we can... low key..
Yeah I know Choccies I was only stirring  ...........where has that young upstart gone that made that prediction??
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Choccies wrote:I read with interest everyone attempts at prediciting where teams will finish in 09. I 'm not sure this type of speculation actually achieves anything apart from filling in some peoples days.... Surely what happens in 09 is affected by a number of important factors like recruiting, pre-season efforts, long term injuries, lost players, up-coming juniors, improvements, training form, different opposition etc etc and I dare to say that what we would know about the other clubs we could write on the back of a postage stamp. This topic may be better served and better analysed by discussing your own clubs strong points instead of saying 'CBCOC will finish 7th, Salisbury West will finish 8th' ???

I was taken back a bit there mate, I usually read you taking the p!ss out of yourself to some degree, there is a serious side to you

Sorry LM, I'm actually taking the p155 out of everyone !!!! It's great humour for me to read the predicitions. I'm compiling them in a spreadsheet as we speak. I will put it up on here soon so we can see at the end of 09 who the dicks are !!

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I think they'll improve a fair bit, he'll bring some handy mates I'd imagine and there will be a few old fans that will want to play under him.

I have played against CBC for more than 10 years in Div4 and they are certainly one of the hardest teams to beat especially at their ground...............they had a bad year this year but don't expect them to be easy beats next year.

Hot tip right here, Greenacres will finish top three. That is being conservative. Let's be honest, they were a better team than GG, they just had bad luck with injuries. They have the money to recruit and a lot of players with experience playing at a higher level.
