Now I say this at 6am getting up for work not coming home from doing whatever it is kids do these days.

Dear Steven,

Your Article was awful, innacurate and inspirational.

Kind regards, PNU

Amazing day. Truly amazing and hats off to SHOC as they nearly had our number. Good club and tested us like no other

Was a brilliant game to watch. Well done to PNU, a truly impressive club. Hope they go well in Div1 next year.

Can I just ask.... is it a requirement to be tall, dark and lanky to wear the no.13 in the A grade?

I didn't get to the game until almost 1/4 time and I nearly had a heart attack when I saw no.13. Same run, same dark hair, same mannerisms.

then I saw the real version (with plenty of grey hair  ) donning yellow runners top. ;)

Congratulations, btw - with a bit of help from the umps, you got over the line 8)

A well deserved win yesterday for PNU to cap off a great year. Onwards & upwards for the falcons, can't wait for divvy 1 next year. What do I now do with 6 months of no footy?

If you want to wear 13 in senior football you need Scotty's blessing.

Help from the umps, funniest thing I've lread on this site

Dunno, there were a few dubious calls there. Was a topic of discussion in the grandstands.

Didn't you feel your game was over-umpired in parts?

I am gonna be the bad guy and agree with FC. I did think that we got the better end of the umpiring. It was over umpired in parts, but that's not the frustrating part. It's more the inconsistency that frustrates me.

Very very over umpired. Wholistically it evened itself out (eventually) but a lot of frees were paid. I stopped counting after 20 in the first quarter

I thought SHOC got the worst of the umpiring purely because of where the free kicks were paid. PNU kicked seemed to kick a lot of goals from frees. dubious calls or non-calls are acceptable when in the midfield as they don't have anywhere near the same impact on the result.

I've watched the tape (a couple of times ;)) and you can see that the Umpires were rigidly consistent on paying free kicks when blokes ducked their head (or just charged head first into blokes).

The Umpires told our players as much during the game. Some of our guys definitely used that consistency to their advantage in the last quarter

The only discussion was from whinging SHOC supporters.

All year, high contact has been paid, under all circumstances. ALL YEAR.

Both umpires were very even to both teams. SHOC's were brave but just couldn't finish it.

Someone beat us in April but they couldn't get within 15 goals of the opposition when it mattered.

A story that got missed in the drunken haze of the last 5 days was (and I hate pissing in this bloke's pocket) Grae Grant's return from a brain tumour that was meant to see him miss the whole season, to be allowed to play, then to cap it off with BOG in a Grand Final and 2 last quarter goals.

Hollywood stuff

No denying the bloke has some freakish talent. He's one of a kind.

Modbury taking a strong position already last night seen a fair few players go up for talks.......looks like they will hit the ground running if they can sign some of the quality they have spoken to
