Possibly a little propaganda there from the council rep I think. Just in the fact they say “The league has yet to finalise the conditions under which the club will be allowed to play next year.”

What's everyone thoughts as to how many players SN might actually get back, knowing even if they have rewritten the AAA, they could be kicked out again if they cross the line.

I think they'll gain most if not all their players back, they didn't leave because the club did them wrong. I'm sure everyone at SN would love to "stick it up" the league by winning the flag.

Yeah, that's what they said at the start of this year and the year before and the year before that. Problem is, someone has crossed the line each year for the last 4 years. So, at what point do players say enough is enough and decide to go and play for a club that is not going to be kicked out of the competition should someone cross the line? Mind you, I'm assuming that the players' primary motivation is to win a premiership.

I have heard the Hay brothers have already recommitted to (their current team eludes me) wherever they’re are now for next year. So there’s a couple that won’t be back....

And there were people calling for Brighton to start in Div7! I would’ve put them in Div 2 in their first year. For all it’s many faults, people seem to always underestimate the SFL

Surely the recruits they’ve picked up this year have made them a much better side than last year though.....

Definitely did not part ways. Few disgruntled players now so will be interesting to see how good the new coach will be at damage control.

Jesse O'Brien from SPOC wins D2 medal - 19 votes

Runners up, both with 18 votes

Brayden De Prinse - Broadview
Daniel Caire - Unley

Things even themselves out over a season and winners and other top vote getters are generally about right but you do have to wonder about some of our men in green.

Round 18 - Unley 8-13 d GG 3-8

GG didn't kick a goal until the last qtr.

3 votes - GG
2 votes - GG
1 vote - GG

Caire wasn't in Unley's best that day according to SportsTG and lost the medal by 1 vote so maybe it wouldn't have mattered but what the f--k!!!

And so he should have been. Played 17 games of AFL between 2010 and 2013 and also won the "Norm Smith" in a NEAFL GF. At 27 is in his prime so a very good pick up for SPOC along with the cast of other very handy recruits plus the return of a bloke who had other issues to deal with in 2017.
