Look there is no doubt for elte footballers (SANFL and above) cycling is not an optimal training mode for due to its lack of specificity to the demands of Australian Football. Good for variety in a periodised program but not as a major training mode

However for sub elite performers (Ammos/SFL and below) the benefits of cycling on the aerobic system at both a central and peripheral level within the body as Heater31 outlinline will out-weigh any potential negatives. I use this in reference to teh preseason....

Hey Danny Southern due to transport difficaulties cycled 40 + km (round trip) three times a week to get to Claremont training the year before he got drafted.....he then went and did the full training load then rode home again...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Most Hamstring injuries occur from Muscle inbalance, which can be common if you do lots of bike riding due to your quads, drivers etc doing most of the work. Over Stetching can also cause muscle stretching which over extend the muscle's natural position, thus when you are maxsmising the muscle to the xtreme it has no where else to go, apart from a slight strain or tear.

If you are planing to be on the bike, then make sure your are doing the equivlent workload in running, this will load by muscle groups evenly.

When Stetching remember not to over stretch, and stretch after the exercise, not so much before as your body is never warm enough, and stretching after will help your muscles to relax and remove lactic acid build up.

When a fox chases a Rabbit, the rabbit dosnt stop and stretch, otherwise his life will be short, the Rabbit justs Run, and Runs" - Mike Nunan.

Probably Caesar (Mark Caesarowicz) again, he seemed to do a good job and the players seemed to want to play for him so I wouldn't see why he wouldn't get it again.

Not that I have any real information, just an outsider's view.

We start on Monday Dutch. And yes, as well as Atko there's a few more, 4 or 5, but I won't name them on here until I see them at training. Not gonna make myself look stupid just yet.

You driving the 2 hours back down the highway Dutchy or staying a bit closer to home, maybe in black and white?

His match payments could be a night at 99 Waterloo Corner Rd and a voucher for a fake tan....
