To be honest we werent overly happy due to some umpiring instances that marred a good win. Still about 4 good players off full strength which is promising. I think everyone involved with us can be happy with a 100+ point win in our historic first game. It would be an interesting stat to see how many clubs in their first ever game have won by a similar margin. Click the link to see an image of the historic first team to take the field for the Blackfriars Old Scholars FC.

Duncs ... western warriors field umpire thought it was alright to constantly talk crap and try to intimidate our players by abusing them throughout the game and at one stage grabbed the guernsey of one of our players and told him he was going to smack his head in and 10 of our players in a minute now i know its div 7 but that doesnt happen. Why are you looking left right and centre at an avenue to bring our club down?

That ump obviously needs to be reported and if what u say is true he wont be allowed to umpire again.

no im not the one with the afro. but i am in the photo. it just always comes across you look for ways to have sly digs from nothing. never mind all good if you werent. The guy who umpired was actually a player of theirs i think who filled in for the week. was an absolute disgrace. we didnt bother reporting it as nothing really ever comes of things like that and it would have been word against word. The other umpire from the league was alright he was just fat and couldnt keep up but was consistant and QUIET.

just got a eamil from amatuer league.apparently div 7 has been called off as Blackfriars Old Scholars have won their first game and there is no use anyone else turning up for the rest of the year.well done on the win.

All seriousness carey do you have to be so negative at everything. Where have we bragged at our win? We played against a rabble. Im getting the impression the rank clubs that make up div 7 dislike the possibility of a new college team coming in and possibly being pretty compedative.
