Our B's and C's beat TTG's C's and D's by about 3 or 4 goals in a 6 quarter game. The gullies boys were a great bunch of blokes and the game was played in great spirit. Another good hitout for both sides. Can anyone from the gullies tell me if Diesel is a C grade player or if he plays higher normally? Could have taken the game apart, just didn't seem to want too...

Gepps Cross 15.7 - Uni (wait for it) 1.22. Might be goal kicking this week at training for the blacks. . 8 posters, you've never seen anything like it. Other than the score board it was a very good game if you can get past the score board. Pete Smith went absolutely crazy and showed his class. Jason Roe and the bar manager will be a formidable force this year if not on a Saturday then certainly on a Friday Night.

I was blown away when I looked at the score board. As I said, it was a good contest apart from giving Gepps kick-in training and the goal umpires one arm flag waving. Gotta take a positive out of it somewhere. it was comical at the end with the points.

i went out and watched the b's trial and the first half of the a grade and uni's a grade were very young with quite a few young country players. gepps had the better structure; but not surprising given the 6 or so players were out for their first week at uni. gepps also had some very good in and under players feeding the ball out to some talented and skilled runners. at half time scoreboard was 8.2 to 0.8 of which seven shots were set shots. in the first half the game was much closer than the score suggests.

however, would think that uni are not the monte that people suggest and that gepps won't finish relegated as i thought.

simon cox will be a handful for gepps even if he's looks like he's paid in pies.

Brighton played shocs in a trial at Brighton Oval (which was in great condition), Shocs won the B grade by about 5 goals and the A grade by 3 goals. Good quality hit out by both sides and played in good spirits.

Kilburn over Virginia by about 4 goals in the end. Chicks were up by 6 at 1/4 time, game was over. Got out to about 10 then they took the foot off the pedal. The 4 goal margin wasn't indicative of the actual game. Virginia were not very good at all.
