Zed, I reckon it would be a great move. Have a look through the SAAFL book and count the clubs that wear plain royal socks.
That goes back to the days when plain colours were about all you could buy, now you can design your own to suit your uniform. Get Schultzy in to see Sportscentre next week with an order, if you're lucky you'll have them in 6 weeks.

Don't worry about the fat legs, they only go to just below the knee so if your legs are fat above the knee, it's not the fault of the sock! Might make some of your guys with 'pencil legs" look a bit bigger.

Do you work for sportscentre? Would be lucky if they arrive in 6 weeks, looking at longer than that.

No mate, that's why I said it! Not sure too many do work at Sportscentre, by all reports they take their time to get things.

Actually it's Ingle Farm and you are correct. Pretty ordinary but there's not a lot you can do for bottle green & white

I reckon just the bottle green with the white V would look good. Throw in some printed lace-up and I reckon it would look great.

the best is the simple white v on black - that's my biased opinion

clubs i've played against - probably fitzroy's guernsey then tea tree gully when it was just the sash rather than the sash/wolf
worst of all time - payneham's guernsey in the 80's - burgundy with two thin vertical gold stripes down the left side ala centrals white abomination from the late 70's esrly 80's
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much

I must say, and I'm sure some of my club mates may not agree but I think the Golden Grove guernsey aint that flash.... the away guernsey is definitly better than the home one....

Do North Haven still wear the away strip they got in 2005?

The all white one with the big magpie. Along with white shorts and hooped socks...looked pretty ordinary...wouldve been better to have the normal guernsey with white where the black is on the home strip and vice versa. Sort of inverted colours.

I remember playing As in Rd 1 against Salisbury West in 2005 and it was the first game in the away strip. I was bleeding from somewhere and without thinking just wiped the blood down the front of the brand new guernsey. Looked up to see the whole bench just staring at me...then got called a dickhead my numerous people. Not my fault i was used to having plenty of black to wipe blood on.

Could that GG bloke about to run through the banner get any tighter shorts. No wonder he's trying to fix it.
