TW - there is a lot more to it than just taking up the offer. It is late february not late october, 5ish weeks to rd 1, plans are in place for the div you're set to play in, recruiting plays a part, does the coaching group think that the playing group will handle going back to the previous division, and probably a whole range of considerations. Imagine for a moment you say yes and you win the same number of games with essentailly the same playing list, in my view you've gained nothing other than being relegated again. That wouls hurt more than consolidating in the lower div for at least a year.

Even though i'm not on the committee at BOS i was considering what i would recommend if (a) i was part of the committee and (b) if the club was given the chance if nth haven didn't take it.

And what did you come up with sprint?

good question. should have added that. my heart said div 5 but my head said div 6

Well sprinter like I said I'd be disappointed if Bos turned down an offer to go up.

Fun is what I thought is was all about...

We were setting ourselves for a big year in Div 6 and now we have to shift our mind set onto Div 5 and hopefully the work we've done and been doing during the pre season will help us to have a good year in Div 5.

Dont know why you wouldnt agree. Unless you play football for fun you should be aiming to play as high as ur standard allows. I's be personally disappionted if my club passed up the opportunity to go back up.

If you aren't playing for fun and you're in div 5 then what are you doing playing at all?

So Salisbury West will be playing div 5 for fun and not really bothering to go back to div 4?

Salisbury West will be playing hard to win, but above all else will be enjoying it. Do you really think you can't be having fun if you're playing well? Seems odd to me the more fun you have the less success you have.

Yes that is true Steve but we don't know until we get out there and play if we will be competitive in Div 5 or not.

I no that, but if your backing 2 favourites in the one horse race and one is scratched at the barrier, I no who I would like to be on.
