you say you saw the hounds play a number of times this year, what were your thoughts? how would you rate our chances in div 6 with pretty much the same two sides with hopefully a few new lads coming through? seems that uni's tough time of the year is exams and mid year break and the numbers dropping off a bit as the non locals travel home for a while.

The Blackfriars Hounds will be a genuine challenger for the Div 6 flag but won't beat The Blacks (Uni) in Div 6R, whether Wes plays or not. He may even play Div 1 finally, as he doesn't have many years left, and ''lizbeff'', we're not that fond of you guys either, so the feeling is mutual.

Your D6R appears to be a good team. Won the flag last year so they must be alright. As for Wes well good luck to him if he heads up, its clear he has the talent to play at that level.

The Blacks' Div 6R team (known as ''Foster's Green Arseholes'') has many Adelaide Uni Club & Amateur League records, and is made up of some highly decorated players (all getting a bit old now after 8 consecutive GF's) who play together simply for their close team friendship. The FGA record over the years is as follows;

1999 - Lost 7R GF v Broadview
2000 - Won 7R GF v Westminster OS (FGA undefeated season)
2001 - Won 7R GF v Broadview (FGA undefeated season)
2002 - Won 8R GF v Henley (FGA lost 2 games)
2003 - Won 7R GF v Henley (FGA lost 1 game)
2004 - Lost 6R GF v Adelaide Lutheran
2005 - Lost 6R GF v Elizabeth
2006 - Won 6R GF v Central United (FGA lost 1 game)

A few of the current Blackfriars players have played with the FGA before their club was formed, so it should be a fun match!

with central united going up i think blackfriars will have a real good year in 6.For greenacres to make the final last season tells me the standard has dropped a bit with clubs who were middle of the pack or lower making finals.I watched the grand final last season and they were way of the pack

Heard yesterday rom a blacks mate, that wes is not playing ever again! Still distraught about his son, which is understandable.
