No such thing as a 1 to 35 SANFL list these days. The rule for SANFL BYE / STATE GAME BYE was clearly outlined by the Boss yesterday. If North are OK for Brazel to play then he can play for PAOC provided he has played 25 games senior/junior games for them previously. PlayHQ says he has played 19 games for PAOC but I assume he went to school at PAC so qualifies based on junior games added to that tally. No way Parky would make an error with the application of this rule so I'm sure he is eligible to play for the Reds this week.

Thank goodness, always found that one to be particularly stupid.

Was close to leaving at end of the year. Recruiting another forward in the off season didn't help.
Good player and very nice guy, wish him all the best.

Antonio James playing for SPOC on the weekend - thought you had to have been a junior or played 25 games to get a permit to local league?

This could be one of the great balls ups in Div 1 for some time.

They win their first game and now what? Can they lose points if he is deemed ineligible to play?

If that was the case, wouldn't he have transferred and thus not appeared as a special permit player?

Not necessarily
Brazza and Wildman are showing as SP for us
He could be in the same boat as Brazza

Seems fair risk to recruit a player on the same weekend the sanfl has a bye though

In fairness though that is a perfect time for an SANFL player to reassess where they are at as far as league selection goes etc.

Surely the league will look however at where they play next week and if thats back at SANFL footy then there is obviously an issue.

I see toby Bedford played for SPOC on the weekend, I thought he was playing in the RMFL when not picked for Sturt Reserves

Bedford played for Mannum on 6/5 but played at SPOC on 13/5 & 20/5. It appears he has decided Mannum OUT and SPOC IN as his aligned Community Club which he is quite entitled to do at least prior to 30 June.
