Possibly cause it reads good if Uni's could be the only club to play Div 1 in the Amateur league in its inaugural year and its 100 year anniversary next year

I would imagine Uni would be very disappointed considering the money they have spent on new recruits and coaching staff with ALF and SANFL experience

Loosing two finals in a row at home when one win would of got them into A1 would be a huge blow

oh you'd be surprised!

but in saying that think they would also applaud EP for getting there for the first time.

watched the game and neither team deserved too lose one like that. both had their chance to seal it late but the ball was so heavy and slipery even the best players struggled. no.1 for EP couldnt make the distance from 30out at one stage it was that much of a bog

Watched the whole thing myself and obviously as a PHOSC bloke I was supporting extra time disappointed it didn't go longer though. ;)

Eventually conditions made it a crapshoot but I think EP probably played smarter and that is as important as anything in the wet.

It now means we play the Demons for the seventh time in 2 years after never having met them before.

Watched the game today and I am not associated with either club and it was a slog.

PHOS would be happy to see the conditions and extra time. It may take its toll on EP.

Neither side deserved to lose in a hard fought contest, although EP had their chances to wrap it up late in the last qtr but couldnt get a score.

I thought Uni were going to get a win when they were about 9 points up in the 2nd qtr and in control of the game but to EPs credit they fought back.

CONGRATULATIONS to Eastern Park. History created making division one. Who would have thought? A tiny little club on Yorktown Road in the highest level of amatuer footy. Great credit to Dusty Millar and the boys, outstanding work considering the start to the year!! Some credit must go to the work of Carey Payne and others before Dusty took over but what he and the players have done since then has been fantastic and full of character. Finsh off the good work this week boys..... :D
Harsh but fair.....

For all those other teams left in Div 2 I think they would be happier playing Uni Oval rather than Dwight Reserve.

Just checking some old posts a page back about PHOS only playing as high as Div 2 in that book, the same thing for Athelstone, don't know why our 4 years in Div 1 1997-2000 was overlooked. Not much verification of facts by the looks of things. It is hard to imagine that you could get this wrong though.

well done parkies on getting to div 1 and hopefully a flag this week.

if you are the best team in div 2 you deserve to go up to div 1, for the sooks that dont want it to happen get over it just too scared to play the parkies in the northern suburbs
